When buying a fully manual camera I hope that the consumer is smart enough to research how to use one and practice. His approach was the equivalent of jumping into a pool without knowing how to swim. This camera was made basic and is very much just that. For the price it is an excellent camera and of course as he said an external flash is required. Which, by the way any dedicated photographer will need any ways.
