Pros: ok, if you don't need to take a great picture, or of anything with details Cons: kills batteries, very fragile structurally, essentially no zoom, the picture quality is bad (colors, sharpness..)
Focusing is virtually out of the question. This camera will not take detailed pictures. For example, if you want to take a picture of a beautiful piece of jewelry, or something with detail, it will not focus on it. Using the LCD monitor is not very ...

would not buy a vivitar cam.

Pros: None Cons: Crappy service and bad product Stay away from at all costs
My Dad bought a 3550 and in 3 months the camera went dead so he sent it into vivitar who said thay never got it well around 20 emails later and a report to the better business
and a copy of the postal recept with a sig. of one of the employes we got the camera back, well 2 months later dead camera again decided to buy a new cannon . and turn the vivitar into a card reader. Btw the flash unit melted down glad it didnt start a fire I guess that is the kinda crap you can sell if you are Vivitar
