Pros: Quiet, efficient cooling for a small room, nice features including remote control, automatic timer, portability. Cons: Blower vent should adjust more.
I got mine at Brandsmart in Florida for $330. Setup is easy, and it's a quiet unit with a lot of nice features, including the remote. The model is suffixed with a 2. (ACP102PR2) The window kit for venting it though has a little to be desired. It's ...

Good unit, bad ducting
by pschreiner ,May 31 '06
Pros: Good cooling power. Fairly quiet. Cost. Cons: The duct is horrible!
The unit works well, and is currently the sole method of cooling in my living room (approx 275 sqft). It does a good job, and allows me to avoid having an ugly AC unit in one of my front windows. Instead, it just has the duct mounting plate (approx 3 inches high) in the window, and is not bad looking at all. So, the unit its self and the duct mounting plate are great, but the duct its self is horrible. It has a HUGE bending radius, and can only be installed perpendicular to the window mounting bracket. So the duct protrudes over 8 inches from the window before the duct starts its bend over to the unit. On the back of the AC unit it is the same story. A large bracket and hose assembly pointing out the back.
If they were to provide connectors to allow the duct work to connect to the window mounting bracket at a 90 degree angle (and the same at the back of the unit) it would be much better. I guess you could rig something up to make it work, but it should be taken care of from the factory.
