Pros: Huge capacity, no agitator, Top loader Cons: lid locks, some preset setting can't be changed
About a month ago our washing machine gave out and I finally had a good reason to buy a new one. I did lots of research and asked lots of people their opinions on their machines and I found that most of those who had front loaders didn’t like them so I ...
Pros: Touchpad, automaticity, large size drum, water & energy savings Cons: length of cycles, price
I chose the Cabrio because of the 20+ years that my old Whirlpool lasted, as well as the 4.5 cubic size drum that this new one has. I can fit a queen size comforter in it, but I doubt a king would fit. I have had none of the issues that I have read about ...
Pros: QUIET! EFFICIENT! Good looking (if you think a washer/dryer can be good looking) Cons: Kind of expensive. Dispensers should be up front. HE detergent selection isn't that great yet.
My wife and I bought the Cabrio pair after our washer died unexpectedly. Being 20years old, it was time to upgrade. My wife had her eyes on the Cabrio since they came out. To me it didn't matter what we bought, so long as my clothes were clean. ...
Pros: Wonderful design, high speed spin, clear top to view washing, ability to customize controls Cons: Not enough water provided on most cycle choices, I had problems with cycle freezing up
I waited a long time before finally deciding on the Cabrio. I knew there had been many problems other reviewers had experienced with similar design washers so I wanted to be careful, plus I had been burned before buying a top of the line Sears Kenmore ...
Pros: large capacity; entertainment value watching cycle is high Cons: Will not rinse soap out of clothes. Does not get them clean.
We've had this machine for about 3 weeks now (Sept, 2007). We've done about 25-30 loads of laundry in it. It's the Cabrio HE WTW6600SW2. We chose it over many of the HE washers because it was a top loader that wouldn't be subject to the molding that ...
Pros: Ease if use, very quiet, huge capacity Cons: Can't think of one yet!
My husband and I purchased this machine and matching dryer when our 15+ year old models started violently shaking the entire house when in use. After looking at many many models we struck a deal with the sales person and bought this machine. I cannot ...
Pros: Holds LOTS of clothes, does a good job. Quieter than most. Cons: Can knot up clothes if you ask it to.
I bought this washer despite the negative reviews, because EVERY washer has a bunch of negative reviews. We've been happy with this machine: it cleans our clothes, holds a LOT of them, and spins them nearly dry. It uses little water and even less ...
Pros: none unless you like to call your dirty clothes clean Cons: can't call a machine that doesn't clean clothes a washing machine
I only ask two things of my washing machine. One is to get the clothes clean and the other is to get the water out of them after they are clean. The Whirlpool Cabrio fails to get the clothes clean but does a great job of getting the water out of the ...
Pros: 11 cycles; Quiet. No agitator - great for King size comforters. Cons: NOT ENOUGH WATER! clothes not clean; leaves residue; Uses only special"H-E" High Efficiency soap.
Why can't manufacturers give us what we want!!!?? I HATED my old GE washer & couldn't wait for it to die so I could get a new one. It was only 3 yrs old & I didn't realize when I bought it that even tho the lid was up....it still would cycle. I ...
Pros: large drum, easy to use, doesn't get off balance, quiet, extra rinse Cons: doesn't agitate to move cloths in water to clean, lid locks so can't look in
I had this machine. At first I though it was nice to be able to put several large quilts in the machine at one time and they didn't even get off balance. I soon found out that this machine is not good for farmers, mechanics and construction workers or ...
Pros: Cleans well, exceptionally quiet, spin cycle practically without vibration. Expensive. Cons: Longer wash cycles than traditional.
I really really wanted a front loader but was concerned about the amount of vibration on the spin cycle after reading reviews about how it "made the whole house shake". We live in a manufactured home. I bought the Cabrio at Lowe's and had some uneasy ...
Pros: Costs less than a new car. Cons: Most everything.
I have owned the Cabrio washer and dryer combination for 9 months. The dryer works fine but no better than the old $400 dryer that it replaced. The washer is another story... In an effort to offer the most sophisticated appliance on the planet, ...
Pros: none Cons: wrinkled clothes=more work for me
This is the worst machine ever. I bought a brand new state of the art washing machine only to find that now I have to iron almost everything! It twists and mangles my clothes beyond belief. A busy working mother of two does not need more chores! The large capacity doesn't help either because the dryer doesn't get the clothes dry in the proper time and the fuller the load the worse my clothes. Sheets almost always go off balance. I would not recommend anyone buy this machine. It also does not allow me to set for delayed wash which I really miss as this helps with overnight loads after the showers are done. Such a basic feature even the most basic machines usually have

Pros: Quiet, efficient, easy-to-use, knows how much water to use. Cons: None so far.
A week ago when my wife and I went out looking for washers, we were intrigued because it had no center agitator, and because it could hold 4.5 cu ft of wash. But it was also more money than a conventional washer. But we really liked it. Then we found out that our local utility was giving a large rebate because this washer was high efficiency, and so we purchased it. What a great decision! We love this washer. First off, it is quiet, and makes subtle sounds like a quiet jet engine. Second, it doesn't rock and shake the whole house in spin mode like our previous washer did. Third, it is easy to use. Select the type of load on a single dial, and everything else is selected automatically for you -- and that includes how much water to use, spin speed, and wash temperature! (Of course, you can manually set things yourself as well, but why bother!) It's fast, smart, energy efficient, and friendly to the environment! We highly recommend it!
Pros: Energy efficient, easy to read cycles, and nice load capacity Cons: The wrinkles are terrible!! They are set-in!
Love the whirlpool name and reputation, however this washing machine is a huge disappointment! The clothes come out with set-in wrinkles. I can't believe it. I try to shake everything out one piece at a time before loading them into the dryer, but it doesn't seem to help. After 9 months of use the control panel just went out and service from Sears was good. (Although it took 8 days to get the proper part). Just wishing I had stayed with the old tried and true models. I knew enough to stay away from the newer front loaders, but these new energy efficient washers sucked me in. Live and Learn I guess.
The direct wash system on this versatile washer penetrates and pretreats stains before the cycle begins to deliver thoroughly clean results. The spaci...More at Best Buy ®
