Pros: Interesting initial set-up. Lovely scenery. Cons: REALLY POOR Nic Cage performance. A silly script.
Summary: THE WICKER MAN is a bad movie in ways that are inexcusable. It had a decent budget and an attractive, experienced cast. It had a creepy setting and a good set up. What it didn't have was a credible script or tight execution. Nicholas Cage plays a ... read more

Pros: Unintentionally hilarious, Nicolas Cage's terrible acting Cons: Uh, well, the movie
Summary: The Wicker Man is one of my favorite "so bad it's good" films. I feel weird giving such a poorly made film a high rating, but the absurdity of its bad parts had me laughing so hard that it actually gained a huge entertainment value for me.I ... read more

Pros: not much unless you are looking for humor Cons: Cage should be embarrassed
Summary: I have never seen the original release of Wicker Man so I went into this totally on the merits of Nicholas Cage and Ellen Burstyn. Whoa, they do make some weird movie choices, I’ll give them that.Cage, playing the part of Edward ... read more

Pros: It held my attention Cons: Ridiculously horrible performance by Nick Cage
Summary: When it pours and rains, I like to do things like get caught up on my movie watching and reading, (and laundry, but that can somehow always wait.) Of course, I've read absolutely horrid reviews on the 2006 version of The Wicker Man with Nicholas ... read more

Pros: Ummmm...... Cons: Obvious conclusion, excessively violent and brutal in "alternative" ending.
Summary: I had no idea this film was a remake of an older one until the credits stated so at the beginning. I also had no idea at all of how different this version is from the original until I read several reviews of the original here on epinions. Never having ... read more

Pros: pretty pictures Cons: inept remake
Summary: This remake of the 1973 cult horror classic will remind you of the phrase, "I want my two hours back." The Wicker Man (2006) is a horror thriller that feels three decades old, a kind of vanity project catapulted to the big screen by Nicholas Cage's love ... read more

Pros: The overacting here is something special. Cons: Unintentionally hilarious, with an ending that does not work in this "comedy."
Summary: With "The Wicker Man," there is a strange predicament with me. Here we have a movie that is so campily bad that not even I can recommend it. Oh sure, I can belt out positive reviews for "SS Hell Camp," "Asylum of Satan," and "Abby," but Neil LaBute's ... read more

Pros: Nicholas Cage owned the part and played it well. Cons: Sadly Nicholas Cage was the only good thing about the movie.
Summary: This was a total waste of my time and I feel dumber after watching it. And, just when the plot looked like it was going to throw a curve at you, there was an instant let down when the same boring pointless plot kept dragging on. This overly long movie
