Pros: stainless, "toothed rod" driven press regulates dough, easy clean, easy store Cons: variety of shapes is limited
The Wilton Cookie Pro Cookie Press made my Spritz cookies spritzier this Christmas. Gone are the days of turning a threaded rod and hoping I don't go too far and have an unrecognizable blob instead of a tree shape, or, not far enough and wind up...

Pros: Easy to use and store. Cons: None
I just recently purchased this Wilton Cookie Pro Cookie press at our A.C. Moore Store. It cost $19.99, but I had a coupon from their store flyer which was good for 40% off of any regular priced item. So it actually cost me only $11.99. Two days after I...

Pros: Price, availability, ease of use, stores compactly, makes PERFECT cookies! Cons: Some learning curve required initially, not dishwasher safe
After the disasterous and blood-pressure raising time I had with my Kuhn Rikon Cookie Press (found http://www99.epinions.com/cont
ent_249449647748)
, my husband ran out to the nearby Bed, Bath and Beyond to find me an immediate replacement. He isn't ...

Pros: Sleek design, handle folds for easy storage, variety of templates Cons: None that should keep you from getting this product.
I got this at Christmas and absolutely love it. It looks sharp if it's sitting out on my counter, but it also stores compactly because the handle folds down and the disks are stored in the tube. It makes me feel like a pro. I now make cookie trays for...

Pros: Sturdy metal construction, perfect cookies with just one click, compact storage Cons: None so far
When I was a kid, my mom had a cookie press that was all metal, and you had to screw down the rod to press the cookies. While it took some finesse to come up with the "perfect" cookie, that was one sturdy cookie press -- it lasted my entire childhood. ...

Pros: Less expensive than other brands; modern look; push-down lever design; attached holder for dies Cons: Achieves inferior results; difficult to clean
When I purchased this cookie press, the box claimed that it was the "best cookie press available". I already owned a good press from Williams Sonoma, but I was seduced by the modern look of this product as well as the push-down lever design (my press...

Pros: I was looking for a very durable machine. This is it! Cons: None found.
I had and "all plastic" cookie press. Ya know the old "gun" style where you had to squeeze part of the handle to get the cookies out. Well this unit was about 7 or 8 years old, most of the disks were gone and the remaining things were beginning to...

Pros: Quick and easy. The only cookie press I will use. Cons: None that I've seen.
This is by far the best press I've used. It's simple to operate, easy to clean up and as quick as an electric press, without all the plastic inside. I look forward to many, many years of use. Definitely a great cookie press. I've thrown away my old,...

Pros: Excellent price. Very sturdy and well made. Precision movements. Easy to clean. Easy to use. Cons: I don't recommend their cheese crackers recipe but it wasn't bad.
I purchased this cookie press based on the reviews I read on this site. I had been looking for a cookie press both in stores and on the internet. The stores available to me had very cheap and flimsy models for the same price or more than I paid for...

Pros: Easy to use, easy to clean and quick to make a lot of cookies. Cons: Recipes included are not the best, but will do.
I grew up with my Mother making press cookies for Christmas every year. It was a ritual for us. She made the green Christmas trees with food coloring and sprinkled colored sugar on the wreaths, etc. They just looked wonderful. However, it was not an...

Broken with the first attempt!
by hjbartling ,Dec 22 '03
Pros: Very easy to use with perfect results until the disk breaks! Cons: Disk pushing the dough through the cylinder is flimsy and broke on first use!
I bought this model last year, right after Christmas as a replacement to my Super Shooter that died after my husband put it in the dishwasher. I never did get around to using it until now. I really wanted to like this model. With the Super Shooter I always had a few that got too much dough or not enough, as my timing was often a little off. This unit, with it's "one click" seemed to be great. However, before I even finished one canister of dough, the plastic disk split causing the metal rod to push right through. There is no way of fixing this. $19.99 down the drain.

Not the best at all
by marianeh ,Dec 23 '06
Pros: When it works, it's fast and the cookies are attractive. Cons: I find that the cookies are smaller than I'd expected then to be.
I bought my Wilton cookie pro just before Christmas 2004. It looked as if it would be easy to use and it looked sturdy. It didn't work the first time I tried to use it. Luckily the store replaced it for me. The second one worked fine but with only two or three of the disks. With the other disks the cookie came out in pieces or wouldn't release at all. It always seemed to take half of cylinder of dough to get it going well, I'd get some good cookies then have to refill and start the procedure again.
This year it broke after about three pans of cookies. The rod came off of the plastic cylinder and right out of the whole apparatus. I had to take the whole thing apart to get the rod back in. It doesn't click now so the cookie doesn't release.

I found a flaw!
by gosterbauer ,Dec 19 '07
Pros: all metal, tough cookie press Cons: The plastic disk that pushes the dough won't hold up over time.
I loved your review! I agree with everything. When I bought this cookie press, I was so thrilled that I finally found one that was all metal. I've used mine for almost 10 years. However, it just blew up. You mention the plastic disk that pushes the dough. Well, my metal rod just went straight through it! I hope I can get a new one or at least a part that I can replace easily.
I just went out and bought a plastic one to get my last batch of dough finished off, and with the first click, it broke. The handle cracked right at the hinge! Cheap plastic trash!
By the way, I ran this through the dishwasher once and that was a bad idea. Everything except the stainless steel barrel and the black plastic parts turned black and still would mark up my hands when I used it. I've hand-washed mine ever since.

The Wilton Cookie Pro Cookie Press - Wonderful
by denbones ,Dec 13 '07
Pros: All the discs store inside. Simple to use. Easy cleanup. Cons: Wish it held more dough. Small opening to load dough.
I've been using a 1950's Mirro Cooky Press for years. It's always been difficult to get the cookie just right. I found this at a rummage sale for $3 and figured I'd give it a try. Every single cookie came out perfect from the very 1st to the 72nd.
I really can't see how someone else broke a disc. The dough must have been extremely tough.
I just soak it in hot water for a few minutes and it cleans very easily.
