Pros: Coke is a cultural phenomenon and there are some interesting exhibits about it. Cons: Crowds, crowds, and more crowds, expensive admission for a factory tour.
I am confessed sodaholic, with Coke products being my preference when available. As such, I have long viewed Georgia's World of Coca-Cola as a sort of "Holy Grail" of factory tours. A recent roadtrip south lead mr_chelledun and I ...
Pros: Entertaining, very informative Cons: Not for little kids
The World of Coca Cola is one of my favorite places to go in Atlanta . We took our relatives here when they came to visit us and we always have a good time.
Pros: Lots of Coca-Cola memorabilia, free samples Cons: Not much else besides Coca-Cola memorabilia...
So my sister had mentioned this was a giant commercial, and some of my fellow Epinionators also thought of it as a giant commercial. But I am a shareholder, and an Epinionating shareholder at that, so I had to see this World of Coca-Cola myself. I can ...
Pros: displays, price, staff, samples, 3D film, history Cons: wait times sometimes occur
The World of Coca Cola attraction is one of the best places to visit if you are in Atlanta. Keep in mind that my visit was in early June of 2007 in the newly opened building right next to the Georgia Aquarium in downtown Atlanta. Some of the negative ...
Pros: Location is easy to find, and tasting the sodas is cool. Cons: Actually, kind of boring.
The World of Coca-Cola is located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, directly across from the entrance to the underground. The beauty of this location is the nearby parking garages and tons of signs pointing you in the right direction. The downside, of ...
Pros: Interesting for Coke-o-philes. A pleasant way to kill an hour. Cons: The $7 admission. It should be free!
After living in Atlanta for nearly ten years, I used the visit of some out-of-town guests as an excuse to check out this museum. After my visit to the attraction, I can see that I didn't miss too much during those ten years.
The World of Coca-Cola is an extensive collection of Coke history and memorabilia. I suppose that an avid collector might find this interesting. I did not.
There are a few video kiosks on Coke science and the manufacturing process. The theater, which you MUST walk through, shows a visibly dated (1990)corporate propaganda film on the presence of Coke around the world. The highlight of the tour is the tasting room where you get to sample Coca-Cola products not sold in this country. It's a nice feature, but it only takes one sip of watermelon soda from China before you have a sugar headache!
The museum is a pleasant enough use of an hour's time. But, what really sours me on the experience is the $7.00 cost of admission. This exhibit is an obvious vehicle for fostering interest in Coca-Cola and promoting brand awareness and loyalty. As such, admission to the exhibit should be FREE!
Coke: The best thing since sliced bread. by tonyfrank1750 ,Jul 20 '04
Pros: Lots of information, foreign Coke samples (free!!!), and a huge gift shop. Cons: It was hard to gather information because of all of the bright colors.
I have been to The World of Coka-Cola several time and I never get tired of it. This museum is well worth the time and money just to try all of the Cokes from around the world. (May I suggest the Lilt) There is also tons of interesting information in this museum as well as an old time diner where a worker shows you have Coke was made before it was bottles. The gift shop is also full of everything you could ever think of. It's fun for the whole family.
Pros: Fun to taste the different drinks Cons: can get crowded
The best thing about the World of Coca Cola is tasting the many different types of Coke sold around the world. You MUST try the drink called Beverly. Everything else is mildly entertaining.
