Pros: Inexpensive, oval center allows blade to be easily locked in place. Cons: Extremely sharp, spent blades need to be properly disposed of.

x-acto is no long x-actly great

Pros: none Cons: Poorly made, burrs on tips and wore out quickly.
I work in a leather furniture/finishings shop and the blades we work with are required to make precision leather, parchment and shagreen cuts, however, our last batch of x-acto #11's were poorly made, with burrs on the tips and they wore out quickly.
We are trying other brands now (Excel).
