Red Rocket

by dkmura , Sep 09 '99
Pros: Great new player's tennis racquet
Cons: Dense string pattern limits spin
It had to be red- my favorite color. It had to be designed (or at least endorsed) by my favorite pro, Richard Krajicek of the Netherlands. The latest players frame from Yonex, the RD Ti-70, comes in two sizes: a midsized racquet (88 sq. in) and a super...

The new Yonex "King of control" racquet!

by darkucio , Aug 05 '00
Pros: Excellent control, versatility, "missed stroke forgiveness", little vibration
Cons: Price a bit too high...
I am a former tennis player, wasnt an ATP Tour player, but was pretty good in my country (Slovenia)... and i bought this racquet, not long ago, because i wasnt happy with Wilson Pro Staff 6.0 SI. And i must mention that this is my first Yonex racquet, i...

Only for the best

by KingLangolier , Jan 29 '00
Pros: Great for the Heavy hitter
Cons: weight, vibration

The RD Ti 70 is a serious players racquet. It is a hefty racquet at 12 oz and the sweet spot is oh, so very tiny. I demoed the Rd-ti 70 for about a week and hit with it everyday, alternating between that racquet and my current rd power 10 long....

High tech hysteria

by cJEckard , Oct 25 '00
Pros: balance, shock absorbtion, power, control
Cons: hard grip, uniform beam width, requires tweaking
10/25/00
Hi, I'm CJ, an avid player who played competitively in college, was frustrated by the style of play (conservative), lost interest after taking some lumps, but has been reinvigorated about tennis due to the Yonex Ti-70. I...

A good racquet for good players

by dxw2 , Jun 16 '04
Pros: Behaves perfectly when playing a perfect shot. Balance.
Cons: Does not behave as well with below-par shotmaking. Hard to generate spin on certain serves.
I have had this racquet for nearly two years now, and initially had a love-hate relationship with it. It was purchased on the advice of a coach who felt I needed a stiffer, heavier racquet to move beyond my then level. I think the love-hate part came ...

Better Than Pete's

by ferrari18boy , Nov 15 '02
Pros: extremely good control, solid feel, nicely weighted, good vibration dampening
Cons: slightly heavy, small face
The Yonex Rd Ti-70 is an extremely capable racket. I can do well on the baseline and at the net. It is attractively painted in Ferrari red for a beautiful finish. The small 88 sq inch head allows for a superior feel and control. To be able to get some...

by DankeAnke , Nov 24 '00
Pros: Great Control at Net
Cons: Lack of Power
The Yonex RD Ti 70, a racket popular with both professionals and club level players, has its benefits and drawbacks. The first time that I played with it, the main thing I noticed is that it didn't give me free power like many of the previous rackets. If...

A very stable frame

by HeavyHitR , Nov 23 '00
Pros: weight, forgiveness, power
Cons: none
I just received one of these racquets as a replacement for a defective RD70 tour. I have been playing with Yonex for years and believe they have mastered the construction of tennis racquets. This titanium frame feels very stable and has a lot of power...

Yonex RD Ti 70

by pvjustin13 , Jan 25 '02
Pros: The racket is a little heavy for people that are a little stronger.
Cons: The standard grip that comes with the racket is very slippery
I was thrilled once I got my Yonex racket, but the first day I played with it was my last. I was looking for a new racket for quite a while so I went to clubs and tried this racket. I liked the way it felt and it didn't have to much power which was...
