Pros: Delicious chocolatey stout Cons: None
It has often been said that stouts are a great beer to accompany desserts. I heartily agree, but once in a great while a beer drinker comes across a stout so special, so unique that it actually could be served as dessert on it's own. Young's Luxury...
Pros: Dark, smooth and luxurious Cons: One pint at a time is enough
Need a beer? or are you a chocolate junkie? WHAT! You're an alcochocoholic!!!! Then have I got news for you, Angus. Here's a little product that can satisfy both those cravings in one fell swoop. But first, a word from our sponsors......

Pros: delicious, chocolate dessert beer Cons: not an everyday beer
The word chocolate gets used a fair amount in the beer world. Many stouts and porters will be cited for chocolate nuances or characteristics. Chocolate malts are used in many beers. Often there is a misunderstanding. One should not expect a beer ...
Pros: Soft cocoa signature Cons: Some sharpness and lack of balance
I really don't know exactly how many times I've had Young's Chocolate Stout. I know I've sampled several pints of it in better beer bars, where it's often served on draft, but I really don't recall ever before having bought it in a bottle. Well,...
Pros: Well balanced taste with mild chocolate Cons: I prefer my stouts a little more substantial.
A warm thank you to user DavidManning, who suggested this. I really enjoyed Rogues Chocolate Stout, which featured the best of both enjoyable worlds of chocolate and beer. Sam Adams Chocolate Bock was a little too much chocolate and not enough ...
I'm drinking a pint of Young's Double Chocolate Stout right now; I bought it at Trader Joe's in a 16.9 oz glass bottle for $1.99. I haven't had it in a while, but used to drink it somewhat regularly a few years ago at Barney's Beanery in West Hollywood, ...
Pros: A great dessert beer - by itself or with cake Cons: Too rich to drink more than one at a time
Hoppy Halloween everyone! Being that it is all hallows eve I decided to trek on down to my local beer store and pick up some Pumkin Ale. It was to be my first tasting if they had any. They didnt. In fact the kid had never even heard of such a ...
Pros: A tasty and rich beer. Cons: Not quite as luxurious as the name suggests.
Think of that perfect combination of beer AND chocolate and you have Youngs Luxury Double Chocolate Stout. As a long standing chocoholic AND beeraholic this was my dream come true. I HAD to sample these delights so I purchased a couple of bottles,...
Pros: Thick, creamy, tasty head; extremely smooth; low ABV; subtle chocolate taste Cons: Not nearly as rich, sweet and sugary as you'd expect; almost watery; expensive and rare
With the holidays coming up I thought I’d give Young’s Double Chocolate Stout a try since it combines chocolate and beer, at least technically. I was hoping for a sweet, creamy beer, but what I got was basically a neutral-tasting beer with a ...
Pros: If you've tried milk stout and liked it, you'll love this dose of chocolate Cons: Maybe difficult to find; offers are seasonal
Here is a most intriguing and mouth watering brew for winter and those cooler spring evenings. I often browse the shelves of my local supermarket and recently came across Double Chocolate Stout from Young's Ram Brewery of Wandsworth in London.
...
Pros: Not hard to find, CHOCOLATE flavor, full body Cons: A little too heavy for more than one or two.
I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to "Adult Beverages" after living in the U.K. for several years and developing a taste for full bodied, rich, beers and smoky, silky, single malts. Now that I'm back home in the US I keep my eyes open for good imports ...

Pros: Excellent chocolate stout, very drinkable Cons: I can't drink it at work
This is an excellent first stout. It was my first stout and I am hooked! Wonderfully full in the mouth. Rich and creamy chocolate and coffee tastes. You notice the coffee taste and a hint of caramel, then the taste of a fine dark chocolate comes through on the finish. Pours very dark, almost black. The first taste is heaven...each subsequent taste the brew gets better. I cannot praise this beer enough. Great depth of taste. The bouquet merely scratches the surface of the taste.
If you drink this stout, beware: it may ruin you for other chocolate stouts. The richness and luxury of this brew cannot be matched...or at least it hasn't been matched by any of the other stouts I've had since this one. When my mouth waters for a good beer, this is what's on my mind. I have not had it with a meal....I would think it would be better as a dessert beer or just as an after dinner treat itself.
