Cons: Gave me a 'migrane' type headache that started minor and lasted many many hours.

I loved the idea. With XMas soon, I tried it. I suffered a tremendous headache throughout the day. I only took 1 and decided I didn't need any more. The headache (which is RARE for me) started out small about 2 hours after taking it. It progressed into the evening (6 hours later). I'll only try this product again if I plan to be home so I can rest an hope not to get a headache.

Pros: The claims on the package sound great.
Cons: It doesn't work and the taste is beyond disgusting.

I bought Zicam after a friend of mine recommended it, said it was the best thing she ever tried and made her cold go away in just three days. I woke up with an itchy throat and my daughter had just gotten over a cold that lasted about a week. I figured I caught it and started taking the Zicam that day. I've been taking it every three hours for three days and I don't think anything positive has happened at all. In fact, my cold is worse than the one my daughter had and has gone into my chest.

This product is horrible. A slightly cherry flavored dissolving tablet of pure nastiness. Plus, you cannot eat or drink for 15-30 minutes after taking it, so you can savor the terrible flavor for a while before being able to wash it away.

Three days of forcing myself to take that tablet every three hours with no results is enough. I don't think I'll be using this product again.

Pros: It eases symptoms, and speeds recovery.
Cons: A bit pricey, but worth it.

I was just starting into day 2 of my cold, and I was skeptical when I bought this product, but anything that would ease the scratchy throat and just plain lousy feeling would be worth it. I was in for a pleasant surprise. By the end of the day, I was feeling like the symptoms were not as bad. By day 3, I was able to resume normal activities without feeling uncomfortable. The symptoms were there, but much reduced. By day 4, I was almost back to normal.

I didn't really believe in homeopathic remedies, but this really works, and it doesn't really taste all THAT bad. I almost looked forward to taking it!

I felt a cold coming on so I went out and bought some Zicam. ZICAM DOES NOT WORK. I spent the past 3 days taking this nasty zinc pump spray. It tastes like mint for about 3 seconds then tastes like your mouth is full of pocket change. Yeah, no joke that's what it tastes like. Anyway, I actually caught my cold very early. I know this now because I've been coughing, sneezing, and have a very stuffed up nose for over a day now. I took the Zicam along with another cold remedy called "Airborne" and have been drinking about a gallon and a half of water a day. My diet is clean so I know I'm getting all the vitamins and minerals I should. I'm 30, in good shape, so if Zicam were a legitimate cold fighter why wouldn't it work for me even just a little bit.

Cons: None - it doesn’t taste great, but suck it up people, it isn’t THAT BAD.

My Doubting Thomas husband has used it for three colds in the last eighteen months (I had to do some serious arm twisting to get him to even try it the first time). He’s absolutely sold on it now. If taken at the very first signs of a cold jumping on board it works like a charm. The sooner you take it the better the results. I’ve only used it once, just last month, but it was an absolute wonder. I never developed a full blown cold. I felt fatigue and some of the ‘weird head feeling’ on the first day, I felt much better day two, and by the third day I was nearly good as new. The sore throat, stuffy head, etc were stopped dead in their tracks. I’m no spring chicken, I’ve been through a lot of colds in my life, and I’ve never had one so mild or resolved so quickly. It almost went unnoticed. I wouldn’t be without this product in my home.

While I don't know whether it actually gets rid of a cold, I do know it is the only thing I can get to get rid of phlem in my throat due to cold or allergies. Better than any cough drop for me.

I usually get sick pretty often, especially in winter time. The last time I got sick, it was pretty bad, I had cough for almost two weeks and nothing seemed to work. I couldn't sleep at night. Then my mom bought me Zicam Cold Remedy Rapid Melts, Cherry - Homeopathic. Even though it has a funny taste afterward, it works. You have to take it every 4 hours. But in couple of days, you'll feel much better.

Do not waste your money on this "medicine." I took this for 3 days, religiously. I even started taking it at the very beginning of my cold. On the fourth day, I woke up sicker than before! I threw this junk away and bought some traditional medicine.

Usually when I get a cold, it lasts for a week and I get a cough that lasts much longer than that. I decided to try Zicam Rapid Melts the 2nd day of my cold. By the 4th day, I didn't have any more cold symptoms and I didn't have the cough! The real beauty is that I have continued to take it about 2 times a week and I have not had a cold since. I usually take one on Sat and on Wed. I agree about the taste, but you do get used to it and I can think of other stuff I have taken that's a lot worse. I can sacrafice the taste for the relief I got. Well worth it in my opinion!

Started getting the cough about 2 days ago, picked up the Zicam lozenges yesterday and already can tell a difference. I bought Zicam because my father swears by it and I need a fast fix because I'm going on vacation in 4 days. I had used my dad's Zicam (he uses the squirty nose one) and the added sensation of snot was not pleasant at all so when I saw there were lozenges, I picked them up. So far my symptoms are 1/3 the severity of a normal cold. (My Gran has a cold as well and we've had it about the same number of days and she's WAY worse than I am-she has not used Zicam). I have heard of a couple people who have used these lozenges and had stomach issues, but I have had none of those (even having taken them on an empty stomach). They DO NOT taste pleasant at all, but it's something I can handle if it will get rid of my cold by the time I go on Vacation.
