  • Great dough machine! Zojirushi Home Bakery Supreme Review

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Apr 17, 2013
Pros: Sturdy, many cycles, produces good doughs, rectangular loaf, good instructions & video
Cons: No pause button, mangles raisins, doesn't always bake loaf well, cannot alter courses once begun

Summary: I've owned this Zojirushi Home Bakery Supreme for several years. I chose it as a prize from a Shopping.com sweepstakes. Soon after I received it, I made a few loaves and got very excited about its capabilities. I even wrote some SDC guides on how to make ... read more

    Pros: Programmable
    Versatile
Does not get too hot on the outside
    Quiet, unless overloaded
    Easy to use controls
Cons: Baking pan is not "immersible"
Two paddles = two dough balls
    No temp control
    Useless whole wheat cycle

Summary: I have bilateral carpaltunel and can't really do the bread by hand thing anymore. So I use a bread machine. I also have had a number of bread machines over the years, they have been OK, but not like the Zojirushi. The machine is QUIET, ... read more

Pros: Nice loaf shape, good sized loaves, non-stick, easy to get started.
Cons: Still have to tinker to get perfect bread.

Summary: Bread machines. They sound like such great ideas when we buy them, don’t they?  After all, who doesn’t love fresh from the oven homemade bread?  I’ve owned a few of them – machines purchased at Wal-Mart or some other ... read more

Pros: Great results. Easy to use, easy to clean after use.
Cons: Large footprint. Make sure you have counterspace for this machine.

Summary: We've had several bread machines over the years. A Panasonic then a Zojirushi machine that made the funky, tall loaves that are/were inherent with single paddle bread machines. Both of them finally got put on a shelf after several months like most bread ... read more

Pros: Easy to use, large bread., makes great dough, good customer service
Cons: Too light and a little sticky crust on top.

Summary: I really like this - it is the only breadmachine I've owned. However mine has a problem as the homemade buttons doesn't work. Can't press them. I contacted Zojirushi and it is now on it's way back to them for repair. They sent me a ups label so I could
