Zojirushi 5.5 Cup Rice Cooker
by huckfinn08 ,Jun 26 '08
Pros: *Sleek stainless steel design
*Round bottom for even heat distribution
Cons: Can't think of any cons regarding this cooker.
I can't emphasize how perfect this rice is! I had a reliable rice cooker for a couple of years and decided to try the Zojirushi brand after reading various reviews.
Some say it makes "restaurant quality" rice but I find it to do even better!
Although it has settings for brown rice, sushi rice, porridge, I use it exclusively for Korean steamed rice.
The rounded bottom of the bowl distributes the heat evenly versus standard cookers with flat bottoms. No more browned or scorched rice!
I also appreciate it's "fuzzy logic" and ability to maintain proper temperatures if rice is not served right away.

not a bad cooker
by deniko ,Mar 27 '08
Pros: has timer function, different kind of rice cooking, has clock Cons: slower than traditional cooker, steam can burn your hand when open the cooker
the cooker looks very nice in appearance, and the rice is good after cooked (even you cook a lot of rice, the top or the bottom has same good quality). the bowl is very easy to clean. it also has music after the rice is done. the only disadvantage side is it is slower than the traditional cooker which takes more time, but i use the timer function so the rice is done before i get home. the warming function is also pretty useful.
