Pros: Nutritional diet for medium size parrots. Cons: None.
I have always tried to offer my feathered flock a healthy, nutritious and varied diet. I know some veterinarians say that a pellet diet is 100% complete and nutritious but I know that I would get tired of eating the same thing every day of my life. So ...
Pros: Healthy, easy to find, refills, smells good, Cons: price if any.
When I walked into a pet store 2 years ago and fell in love with my bird, Timone, I knew nothing of birds. I purchased the Senegal Parrot from my local pet store and brought him to my veterinarian. Where I was promptly informed about diet choices.

Pros: complete nutrition, bird loves it Cons: prep time, price
I actually won this product at a bird show. At first my Goffin's cockatoo would not even nibble at at, but I tried mixing some orange juice with it and she went crazy for it. For my PICKY bird this was a godsend! The vet told me to put her on a...
Pros: Good Nutrition, Smells Like Fruit Loops Cons: Your bird will poop in neon colors, Boring Shapes
If you buy the Zupreem food for Parrots and Conures, your bird will poop in neon colors. It WILL stain carpet. This fact alone forces me to not recommend an otherwise above average food. Working in a pet store, I can experiment with a wide variety of...
About a year ago I was given some Zupreem samples at a bird conference. I started mixing them in with the pelleted food (KayTee) they were currently eating. To my surprise they started eating the Zupreem first, and leaving their other pellets for last....
Zupreem Fruit Blend Avian Maintenance Diet tastes like Fruit Loops! That's right, I've tasted it. Since it is a bunch of colorful shapes that resemble breakfast cereal I figured "hmmm...I wonder if it IS breakfast cereal packaged as bird food and...
Smells Good, My Senegals Like It by vminnie ,Oct 15 '03
Pros: smells good- birds love it Cons: can stain carpets & poop is a neon color
I have 2 parrots, one is a senegal parrot & my other bird is a brownheaded parrot he is also in the senegal family of birds. This food smells very appealing & my birds really like it. I was feeding my birds the Zupreem Natural but they didn't seem to like it as much I found that they were not eating it as much & leaving the food in their bowls when I went to change their food in the morning also I found a lot of the food uneaten on the bottom of their cages. The only problem with this food is that it will make your birds poop a neon color & also it will stain your carpet, must be the coloring in the food. Also my Senegal puts this food in his water & can stain his cup
The breeder I bought my birds from recommended this food & I think I will stick with it snce they like it better then any other foods they have tried. It also comes in a very nice resealable package.
I buy it cheaper at a online pet supply store PetCarealot
Pros: great smell, great taste, bird enjoy eating these pellets Cons: Colored poop staining the carpet.
I have been using Zupreem four years and I have a bunch of very healthy conures to show for it.
I have found that out of all the pellets Zupreem tastes and smells great. It is a good pellet to use when weaning a bird off of seed. One of the only cons is the birds poop is colored and stains rugs and clothing.
Once I have my birds enjoying a well pelleted diet I try to get them eating Zupreem natural instead, which has no coloring but also lacks the fruity smell.
