Pros: Good Introduction for those unfamiliar with the Civil War. Cons: A little shallow and simplistic in ways that the nature of the book doesn't justify.

Pros: FUN easy to read and great short text. Cons: May not be for those who want a scholarly approach and body count
Summary: I love this author's series. This one is great fun to read in that originally I was going to pick up one of the more scholarly text, i.e. Shelby Foote. This was much more fun and a quick read. As usual with his series the author not only gets the main ... read more
