Pros: Terrific sound; easy and secure installation; heavy-duty construction. Cons: Price (but you get what you pay for).
I took these out of the box and installed them over my deck last night. From the previous owner, I already had speaker wires located where I needed them outside, but this will be the most time consuming part of most installations. I listened ...
Pros: Sound carries great outdoors, look good, and easy to use brackets included. Cons: Fairly big.
The speakers have an excellent sound quality that you do not expect once you get them outside. Most of these type of speakers sound wonderful in a controlled indoor environment where you purchase them but when you get them outside the sound is nowhere...
Pros: Stylish, very good sound! Cons: Spec sheets don't give frequency response.
We recently bought and installed a pair of Bose 251 environmental speakers as part of a new deck project. Before we bought these speakers we already had a high opinion of Bose products from the experience of friends and relatives (there is one pair of ...
Pros: Good looking, easy mounting, bad condition use. Cons: The worst sound for the money I ever heard. Price/value is lowest possible.
I work for the video/audio professional company. Some customer asks us to install loudspeakers that are durable (for the mounting over the swimming pool), small and looks good. So I found out from Bose that they have one very good model that can ...
From trash to Media Room: Impressive even 2nd hand ! by ejfindsdeals ,Mar 18 '06
Pros: Great sound, Solid as a pair of rocks, Durable Cons: Expensive, unless you find them for FREE, like I did !
I found these speakers at the local dump. The outsides were scratched a bit, but intact with the grills and brackets. The name Bose got my intention and I figured they were worth a try.
I put them to my Pioneer receiver amp and WOW! I am currently using them in my surround system and they definitely aren't the weakest link! Until I checked this site, I didn't know they were outdoor speakers.
Bose 251 Environmental Speakers by ddvorakjr ,Aug 01 '05
Pros: They look and sound great. Easy installation. Cons: They're expensive, but worth the money.
I've had the Bose 251 speakers for a month now and I'm extremely satisfied with them. I cranked them up loud for the first time this past weekend and was very impressed with their performance. The speakers are mounted to the ceiling of a covered porch, so I was a little concerned with how the acoustics would be, but they sound awesome. Crisp, clear highs, rich mid-tones, and good bass, even at high volume. I highly recommend these speakers.
I have yet to hook them up outside but inside they rival my Definitive Technology Theatre Speakers, JBL Speakers, and Pioneer Speakers. I would recommend these Bose 251's to a friend as well as the whole product line of various Bose speakers..electrical engineering at its finest..why did I wait so long to get Bose!!??
