Pros: It worked sometimes all the one time(s) that I used it! Cons: overall quality
Nobody likes a rant, but there is very little positive about the Casio TV 970. So please hang on with me as I will try to even out the positive and negative.
Pros: Portable, easy to carry around, lightweight Cons: High battery consumption, poor sound quality, headphone sound only comes our of one speaker
I bought the Casio Portable TV-970 the day after Thanksgiving at a massive Best Buy after-Thanksgiving sale (or Red Friday as some people like to call it). The Price of the TV was about $75 and Best Buy offered a $20 rebate that was mailed to...
Pros: Great picture, and sound, especially for the price Cons: Reception not totally great
For the price of this TV, it is a very good TV. I would have liked to have seen a bigger screen (but that is what you get when you have portable) and probably better reception. However, reception is only as good as the transmitter and distance, not to...
Pros: Good reception, digital tuner, excellent price. Cons: Antenna can only go up or to the left.
This TV is great as far as I'm concerned. Others seem to think it has bad reception, but not for me, it pulls in all my local broadcast channels perfectly and even faintly gets some from the next town 50 mi. away! One of the best features for me is the...
Pros: Economical, good picture when reception is also good, just all-around 'neat'. Cons: It's kind of fussy about reception, have to have it just right.
The Casio 970/980 is not the best television ever. But for the price it's a good bargain. I live in a metro area and some channels come in very good, while others look terrible. So they definitely could have put a better antenna in this machine. But I ...
I recently purchased the Casio TV- 90 handheld television. If you wanted to by a handheld television these days under $90, I would reccomend this one. It has a color lcd screen that is plenty large. I also like it's digital tuning which means it...
Pros: good sound Cons: bad resolution, even though it says anti-glare, its too much glare.
I got this and returned it recently. I got it for $79. The screen 2.5" is too small for any handheld. Resolution is really bad. Can't read any text on tv. Sometimes can't even makeout certain actors. My advise is , if you're interested in...
Pros: Excellent signal receiving sensitivity. Great picture. Cons: Mono output, but workable with wireless audio transmitter.
Bought my 970 two years ago and use it every single work day to watch the morning news programs while driving to work. Yep! Got it sticking to the dash with a bit of Velcro, power plug into the lighter, the antenna extended to the windshield, the wireless transmitter plugged into the earphone jack so I can hear the audio through the vehicle's stereo speakers.
Did a cross-country road trip last year. Put the 970 on the dash, wife was able to watch her Soaps every day.

Boutht product for emergencies. In... by sporty_dt3000 ,May 03 '02
Boutht product for emergencies. In first needed use it worked like a champ to keep us informed. It's pocket-sized, reliable and easy to use. Automatically searches for UHF or optional VHF stations, or provides for finger touch scrolling of channels. Is fairly economical with batteries. Picks up local stations even while traveling in a car. Used it at sports events with ear-buds to keep up with what was going on. Two thumbs up.
