Good sound, not very durable by jimvano ,Feb 27 '05
Pros: Good sound, reliable CD player Cons: Cheap plastic, breaks easily. Tape player unreliable and dangerous to tapes.
Have had the JVC RC-BX33 for almost 1 year now. About six months old, a tape player key (play) broke and I have to stick my finger in the hole to make it work. Now, even after repeated cleanings, it is eating tapes. CD player still works well.
Pros: Easy to use, decent sound, reads CD-RW Cons: Doesn't get REAL loud (or CD skips)
It gets the job done, it sounds decent, but they have a better model out there. I've had it for a couple years now, and also bought the newer one with the digital tuner and remote control that controls all the functions instead of just the CD player on this one.
Recently I tried to play a CD loud and it just stopped playing as if it skipped and then gave up.
