Pros: nothing because it doesn't work. Cons: receiver is defective.
We bought a Sony HT-5100D Home Theater System from Circuit City for $599.00. After looking in several stores at several different brands, we chose Sony because of its strong reputation for consumer electronics. Boy were we wrong.
Pros: Like the product. Quality brand-quality product. Cons: Setup a little difficult, but have VCR added into the mix and works great.
I have had this product for one year this month. I have enjoyed the product with CDs, Radio, DVDs and VHS. I have not had a problem with the receiver or any of it's components and I would recommend this system to anyone. The only problem I encounter...
I wanted my first home theater setup so I decided to go with a package deal. I have had this system for almost a year and it is still working great. The only problem I had was I didn't set it up properly the first time. I was getting stereo sound, but I...
Pros: 550 Watt, Cool A/V Receiver, 5 disk DVD player Cons: Few color choice, not good bass, remote does not do all functions, two remotes

Strong Punch for such a small system by avdude ,Dec 12 '03
Pros: Excellent starter system. Great base, small speakers, easy to setup! Cons: Doesn't come with stands for the rear surrounds.
This makes and excellent gift for the A/V nut in the family. The 5-disc changer plays both CDs and DVDs, and the surround modes give you a wide choice in getting the sound just the way you like it.
Pros: Mutli-function remote, Great sound, easy setup Cons: No speaker stands came with it and stands were expensive $125 a set.
This is a great system. Very durable and nice with a great sound. I do not know why previous person had so many problems with Sony (I would guess he/she does not know what they are doing) I have owned nothing but Sony products all my life and have had great success with all of them. Bottom line this system has a nice set of bells and whistles and is well worth the money. The subwoofer even has a nice amount of punch to it when watching movies. Makes a great addition to a WEGA TV. Even the same color. (As the TV)
