Truck campers - Northern Lite 2000 basement
by garyv ,Mar 06 '04
Pros: Construction, workmanship, design, acoustic standards, weight, durability . Cons: The only con is the price -
This is the fourth truck camper and about the 7th RV since 1967. In 2003 we traveled 15,000 miles around the USA and Canada in the Northern-Lite camper. We bought it because of its superior construction and holding tank capacity. It still loooks like the day we bought it in 2002.
We love it because of the largeness of the small size. When we leave the outdoors and enter the unit the outside world vanishes like no other unit we have had before. There has never been a leak through the roof or sides etc. I believe it is impossible unles through an attached appliance (air conditioner etc). The unit is totally solid as it really doesn't have a frame as it is built like a boat. The holding tanks are in the basement which allows them to be larger than any of our 3 previous truck campers. The two of us cantake showers etc. for 3 days before needing to empty the holding tanks.
