Pros: Good small car for a tight budget
Cons: more trips to the shop instead on the road
The Bottom Line: This should be used just to get by until you find something more reliable.

I used to own a 1984 Honda Accord. It was a hatchback and it was suitable for me when I was in High School. The car was an automatic and it had good gas economy. I do have to say that it was little bugger. The car ran well most times. The winter was ... read more

Pros: Honda reliability still shows strong after 20 years.
Cons: Dated body style
The Bottom Line: Great older car, low investment, great quality

I shouldn't be surprised to be so pleased with the 1984 Honda Accord LX. Recently I purchase one more for a tinkering project car. The one I found had 238,873 miles on it, unlike most domestic vehicles I do not consider this excessive mileage for Honda. ... read more

Pros: Economical, reliable, ease of handling.
Cons: On the interstate, it's a puddle-jumper in a sea of SUV's
The Bottom Line: It is a fun car to drive, economical, very little maintenance, well constructed. A good car to have for short commutes to work and shopping.

I bought a new Honda Accord in 1984 and still own it. I need a car for traveling now and I am struggling with a decision to get rid of my "old faithful." The car has 189,000 miles and I expect it has many more good miles left in it, but I hesitate to ... read more

Pros: A great quality car
Cons: Poor (thin) rotors, rust easily. Carbs need to be serviced fairly often.
These are one of the last Honda Accords made in Japan and they are great. It has been the best car I ever owned ( I have a few). It has 360,000 Kms on it, a slight bit of rust, the engine's gracefully weakening and it's just about ready to retire. I have ... read more
