Pros: Easy to park, fun, highway mpg 29 , cheap parts, large BMW community, repair information
Cons: Average vehicle about 20 years, Road noise due to aging, low city mpg 15-17
The Bottom Line: Buy it for your daily driver, or even as a main car.

1987 was the first year BMW introduced the 6 cyclinder inline engine using the Bosch fuel injection system. It is a highly reliable car, but they are now on average almost 20 years - so expect at least a little bit of TLC. These are incredibly fun ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Mechanical steering, supportive seats, lots of power, quality built inside and out.
Cons: Tight quarters for all passengers, power resides in high rpm.
The Bottom Line: Great for a guy who wants a sports car but doesn't want his wife to know it.

Pros: Solid body, strong motor.
Cons: Bad on gas (mostly due to age).
We've had this BMW e30 325e for a little over 3 years now. While we have had to deal with normal maintenance (brakes, tires, oil) this car has held up remarkably well and is even nearing 250k miles! I recently replaced the water pump and timing belt. ... read more

Pros: everything
Cons: no cons, this is a perfect car
I have owned a 1987 325i convertible for a few months and I just wanted to say it is the best car ever! These cars are pretty cheap now and in my opinion quite undervalued considering what a great quality car this is. They are also reasonably cheap to ... read more
