Pros: (It's a Chevy!), body, interior, handling, brakes
Cons: Leaking t-tops, gas guzzler, some people abuse them
The Bottom Line: Great car, fun to drive, great for young people and first drivers (like me !) ;)

This is my review on my 1987 Chevrolet Camaro Z28, with a V8 tune port engine. Please excuse the things I've probably neglected to mention in my review. I'm not too smart when it comes to the electrical engine mechanical stuff, but I do know pretty ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Lots of power, sleek look, good balance of power and fuel economy.
Cons: Takes a while getting from 500 to 2000 revs in 1st gear
The Bottom Line: The 1987 Camaro is the greatest car ever built.

I bought my Camaro just before Christmas in 2000, and have been driving it ever since. Being a teenager, speed is very important to me. I did not really mind that it rattled, just as long as I could make it to the finish line ahead of whatever I was up ... read more

Pros: fun, fast, eye-catching
Cons: almost impossible to find one available in good shape

Late in 1986 I bought my 2nd car, an '87 Chevrolet Camaro, at a great price from a local dealership. It was some sort of "dealer demo", I assume from the 9k miles on it that one of the salesman had been driving it around for a few months. ... read more

A Great Choice For a Used Car

by

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: A classic reliable sports car for a low price
Cons: only 15 miles per gallon

If anyone is looking for a used car I would seriously look into a 1987 or 1988 Chevy Camaro. I have a blue 1987 Iroc-z with T-tops and I'm still amazed how well it runs. Obviosly not all 1987 Camaros you see arn't in such condition but it would be worth ... read more

Pros: Beautiful car, very reliable
Cons: none

WE owned an Iroc Z 5.1 engine, bright red...with t-tops. It was a 1987. It was the most beautiful car....we showed it at car shows for a hobby and we won quite alot of trophies. I still see some rare irocs that resemble the 87 model. The ... read more

Not the best car...

Jan 26, 2000 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 20 Recommended: No

Pros: T-tops are nice, great looking
Cons: Too much time in the shop

I must review this car because since I bought one used (1988) a long time ago, my bad experience has stuck with me ever since. This Camaro was beautiful looking, fully loaded with T-Tops and all. However, within the first 3 months I had this ... read more

'87 Z28 = Worst of the '80s

by
Jan 25, 2000 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 20 Recommended: No

Pros: Fun to drive; Tons of power; Looks cool
Cons: Clunky; Cheap/Bad design under the hood

I gave that title because it was the thought that ran through my head most of the time I owned my Camaro. It seems like the '80s were a time for Detroit's Big Three to laugh at the Japanese and create cars that were recycleable and not meant to be ... read more

Pros: Good pick up, good handling

I got this car for $1500. It was a good deal even through the horror. It was a great car with really good pick up and great handling. Caught a lot of attention with it's jet black exterior with pinstripe accents. I had a lot of fun and unique ... read more
