1988 Chrysler Conquest

Pros: Great low end torque, good gas mileage unbelievable fun
Cons: Not easy to find a qualified mechanic that can work on these cars

There is a very nice review of the '88 Starion which is the same exact car as the Conquest.

These cars are pretty unique and were way ahead of their time when they came out.
The biggest problem with these cars is trying to find someone to work on them for you. You almost have to work on them yourself or meet up with fellow enthusiasts.

These cars give such a thrill to drive, they are truly addictive. I bought my first '86 model around 1998 and have owned about 5 others in one form or another.
They are really a love-hate relationship.
You love to drive them, but you hate to try and fix them.

They offered a SHP "Sport Handling Package" option, that has adjustable struts with wider wheels & tires. Nice at the time, but the cost for replacement struts is out of this world.

I always get looks and questions wherever I go.

I don't often lose at the stop light races either.

If you are looking for something different, but a car that demands respect, this is it.
