Pros: Big, Stately, Roomy, Maneuverable

The Bottom Line: Most '88's are up in the 100,000 mileage range, but if you can find one well taken care of, you've got great car.
My Fiancée owns this car, It's got around 115,000 miles on the original motor. The Ford 302 cu.in 5 liter doesn't put out massive power (140 HP) but it hauls this 4 door around efficiently. The 1988 has cleaner looks than previous LTC's, notably the ... read more

Pros: The 1988 Lincoln Town Car is our families luxury car.
Cons: The 1988 Lincoln Town Car uses too much gas.
The Bottom Line: I will definitely purchase another Lincoln Town Car because I love the smooth and comfortable ride.

Pros: Dependable, comfortable, heavy and safe.

We purchased it in January 1989. It was one of the Ford program cars they rented through Budget. It had 10,000 miles on it. It has been the most dependable, comfortable riding car we have ever owned. It floats down the highway and cradles its passengers
