My wife and I bought our little red Suzuki Samurai new in the winter months of 1988. We wanted to buy a real JEEP, but the Samurai, then quite new on the market, was much more in our price range. We lived in rural PA at the time, with hills and winter ... read more

Pros: Durability, MPG and Reliability
Cons: A bit of a rough ride - try and find air shocks for it.
Love this thing - Had it about 1 year - using Michelin 'X-ICE' tires for the winter. Last winter they worked very well. 22 to 27 MPG on a 1988 carburetter. I have approx. 148,000 miles on it - Expect at least 70K more. I bought this right before ... read more
