1988 Volkswagen agon

Pros: Comfortable seats. Good gas mileage (~24 mpg). Hauls everything but still fits in the garage.
Cons: Pricy VW parts (i.e., exhaust).

Well now, it's been 100,000 miles and I still love this Vanagon. That's a first for me since I'm usually sick and tired of a vehicle by 75,000 miles. Actually, this is my fourth VW Van, so I guess I'm a committed Van-aholic. This '88 model is my second water-cooled (prior was an '83), which is a world of better than my prior pair of air-cooled models; real heat, better gas mileage, and better performance. You can actually go uphill and not be passed by guys on bicycles.
Excellent body integrity. Great visibility. Other Vanagon drivers still wave to you! Ensure you use reinforced sidewall tires to avoid wind-wander. And I'm still ticked off that VW decided to NOT build the retro-van!
