Pros: Generally trouble-free. The day it broke down was the day it died. Cons: Low sex appeal, not much get-up-and-go. The Bottom Line: Keep the oil changed and the tires rotated, and it'll serve you faithfully for many years to come.
My 1989 light blue Toyota Corolla was the first car I ever had. I got it brand new, right out of college, and it lasted me through many harsh Michigan winters and hot Georgia summers.

Every once in a while some fool suggests that it is time for me to sell my 1990 Toyota Corolla. Not gonna do it! The only way some dealer will get hold of my keys is to pry 'em out of my cold, dead hands, because I'm not parting with the Corolla...

My husband bought his 1989 Toyota corolla in 1996. He then promptly fell asleep at the wheel and rolled his car going 70 miles an hour. THEN, something in the engine fell (due to my husband's lack of handy-man abilities) and caught on fire at which...

After 134,000 miles, I can still say that the car runs and drives like it did when I bought it. That doesn't sound very astounding, until you consider the fact that it has been used extensively for rural mail and newspaper delivery. It has been...

Pros: Amazing reliability, great gas mileage. Came through for me when MANY new cars failed. Cons: Uncomfortable ride, a rust bucket and doesn't feel safe when compared to larger vehicles. The Bottom Line: The build quality isn't fair. The car IS 16 years old. Final recommendation, if you can find one, and need rock-solid reliability for a 2nd car, buy it.
I bought this great car after selling my 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara to lighten my debt load (no car payment). I stumbled across this little car by accident. I paid a measly $200.00 for it. The seller bought a new car and was about to have it JUNKED. Good ...
