Pros: Handling, ride, quiet, roomy, well-built, ease of maintenance.
Cons: Fuel usage could be better, gauges could be more comprehensive.
The Bottom Line: I absolutely enjoy driving it! It is a pleasure on trips of any distance. They are also reasonably priced as used units, and can easily become your primary family vehicle.
The general Vandura body fit-and-finish seems to be close to the best that GM can achieve reasonably. The unit I own already has 91,000 miles but is still quiet and reasonably wind-noise free.

Cons: This year introduced a new 4 speed automatic transmission: see review below.
The Bottom Line: If the transmission has been rebuilt, it is a great van.
I purchased a 1990 Vandura Conversion van, and have been restoring it. This gives me a good opportunity to see how it has aged: I mentioned the "experimental" transmission above and that has been the biggest problem. This is a 4 speed style that was ... read more
