Pros: gas milage, long lasting value Cons: non-import mechanics hate them! parts are a little pricey The Bottom Line: I recommend this car because if you keep up the maintance on it, the car will take you a long way. good for college students too
I love my Honda. Its a red 1990 Honda Accord DX, 5-spd. Its as basic as you can get, i mean...its so basic I don't even have a passenger side mirror LOL. But I got this car about a year and a half ago at a "buy here pay here" dealership. I had an option ... read more

Pros: Reliability, performance, look, durability, comfort, fun to drive Cons: Can be easy to steal, must secure a good anti theft device The Bottom Line: Cannot beat this car--very low price (only due to age). This car can live forever and drives like a dream even at 16 years old
The reason is this car LASTS. If taken care of this car at almost 17 years old drives and handles like new. I love this car and in fact I would prefer the older model Accord over some of the brand new cars on the market today. Mine has over 200,000 and ... read more

The Bottom Line: You won't find a more reliable car than the Accord. It gets great gas mileage, great visibility, ease of maneuvering and lots of room.
This is a great car!! I bought my 1990 EX (loaded) brand new, paid a bit over $16,000. When I moved from NJ to MN in 2001, I towed that little car behind the moving van, and have driven it until March of this year (2005). It has 155,000 miles on her, ... read more

Pros: Great value, looks, with outstanding durability. Accords are built to attain 200,000 miles with ease. Cons: Turning radius too wide. Blind spot is somewhat big. Door handle housings tend to crack. The Bottom Line: Great model and year (though getting old now). You still see many cruising down the road! Very, very durable with few maintenance problems. Great used car to purchase.

Pros: Reliability (when in proper working order) Cons: Expensive repairs The Bottom Line: Overall I like this car, but the seats pretty much suck, and it can be very moody probably because of it's mileage. Go with a low-mileage Honda!
I bought my 1990 Honda Accord at an auction in the dead of winter at the age of 16. I had done more researching on good and bad cars than consumer reports and had concluded that this was what I wanted. Only one problem--The car had 183,000 miles on it, ... read more

Pros: Value goes up the older it gets DEPENDABLE Cons: Low to the ground, shoulder belts, long front doors tend to shut on you The Bottom Line: Never fell in love with it, always appreciate it. Simple compared to today's cars. Great gas mileage. Sporty, plenty of pick up. Long-legged drivers listen up!
Family loves Hondas-we've had about every model; I even bought the CRX first year model! Traded it in for this Accord. Needed a family car, and air conditioning!

Pros: Superb road handling. High value. Low rollover rate. Comfortable to drive. Stereo theater sound. Cons: Front seat belt may jam in doors when closing. Gas mileage indicator not too accurate. The Bottom Line: Buy it. Don't wait. Pay a bit more & get rewarded many times over. Superb handling. Very quiet. Steers lightly. Does not flip after skids. RECOMMEND *****.
I have had this car since 8/90. While I regret having sold my 1982 Accord (now Civic-size)because of worn-out back top seats due to the sun, the 1990 Honda Accord is one of the finest cars ever built.

So I'm only being tongue-in-cheek when it comes to the whole "raw power" thing. Sometimes I find myself downshifting even on the highway. But it's a little workhorse. The gas mileage, after 12 years and 130XXX continues to astonish, and while it requires ... read more
