Pros: comfort, rarity, reliability, Lexus build quality, price Cons: gas mileage, no tilt wheel, transmission, handling after 14 years The Bottom Line: The ES250 has all the luxury and prestige of a Lexus without the high price. They are a good luxury car for people on a budget.

Pros: Smooth, quiet ride; very good factory stereo; beautiful interior Cons: Tiny back seat; disappointing build quality; expensive parts; no tilt steering
After my 1988 Accord was stolen, I decided to buy a 1990 ES 250. The car was 5 years old at the time, with 54,000 miles on it. I bought it because of its smooth ride, nice features, and the Lexus/Toyota reputation for reliability (more on that below)....

Good Car but Over Priced

Pros: Solid, well built, trouble-free. Cons: Over priced, expensive to service.
I never had any problems with the car. The dealer was wonderful, but the price was too high, and the routine service was very expensive.
