Pros: Reliability like you wouldn't beleive, zippy, fun, economical, comfortable. Cons: Relatively expensive parts, paint problems, rust. The Bottom Line: The most fun car I ever owned. Not because it was the fastest, or the best handling, or the most luxurious. It just did everything well and never complained.
The first car I ever owned was '90 Mazda protege LX. I still miss this little car, even with an Alfa 164s under my belt. In fact if I can find a low miles early '90s Protege I might just buy one, that how mich I loved this little car. I bought my '90 ...

Pros: Performance, comfort, fuel economy. Cons: Small The Bottom Line: This is a great car! Wouldn't recommend for family, back is quite small. Great fun to drive!
The 1990 Mazda Protege is one of the best cars that money can buy. I have a '90 Protege LX that my father bought in 1990 (his 40th birthday present) that he recently handed over to me. This car is a dream! It is super easy to drive, and it can...

Pros: Good gas milage, low maintnance needed, affordable, great teenage car Cons: automatic transmission shifts hard The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car to any young driver who needs a dependable and affordable way to get around. It is a safe and sturdy ride.
As a teenager and short on funds, I purchased my first car and only car so far, a 90 Mazda Protege from a family friend. THe previous owner had kept the miles down and I purchased the 10 year old car with just 73000 miles. Since that original purchase...

Pros: Cheap, efficient, great gas mileage Cons: Not too stylish
I bought this car in 2004 for $1200 bucks. The insurance is $38 bucks monthly. A tank of gas lasts me over 300 miles. It fits 4, 6 foot guys comfortably for a road trip. Over all the car is rock solid and for the price no one can ask for more. It's got 100,000 miles and starts every morning regardless of temp and drives like a dream.
