This car is amazing.

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Acceleration, handeling, body style,4 wheel disc brakes, low and wide stance, good aerodynamics.
Cons: You've got to be kidding!!!
The Bottom Line: If you get a chance to buy a car like this in the condition mine is(perfect) buy it ASAP. The GT-S models are becoming extremely rare.

So your sitting there at a red light just minding your own business and the guy next to you does that awkward glance, followed by a slight rev from the engine. Your not looking for a race but he's just not backing down (besides he's one of those guys in ...

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Reliability, handling, sporty looks, leg room in the front
Cons: rear room, cup holder design, lack of horsepower for such a nice looking car.
The Bottom Line: The bottom line on this car is that its probably the most bang for the buck. For a car thats almost a classic, this car rules.

The 1990 Celica GT rocks. I own a GT hatchback with approx. 223,650 miles on it. My dad bought it from a private seller because he needed a new car when he gave me my first car which was his 1988 LeBaron. Then I crashed it that winter. When my dad ...

Pros: Interior, Reliability, Looks, Chick Magnet, ETC ETC ETC.
Cons: Low end torque on the GT Automatic Transmission leaves alot to be desired.
The Bottom Line: Buy a celica. Period.

I am never buying a peice of crap chevy or ford ever ever again. I worked all summer and was looking at buying an import like an integra or a celica. Well I ended up grabbing a 1990 celica GT (unfortunatly with Automatic) is bright red for $4500...

Speed and Reliability

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: good gas mileage, sporty looks, good handling, runs great
Cons: not particularly fast, not much aftermarket support, not much room
The Bottom Line: Great first car, sporty, sleek, easy on your wallet, blows most other sport compacts out of the water.

I bought my Celica in August of 2001, and I have had a great time with it. It looks great, really modern and sleek. It leaves a bit to be desired performance-wise, as it's main competitors have a 10-20 horsepower gain on the Celica. However, the Celica...

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Great handling, accelleration & overall performance.
Cons: Back seats are only large enough for small children or smaller adults
The Bottom Line: Simply put, "The best, most trouble free vehicle I've ever owned."

I've had my 1990 Toyota Celica GT since it was new and it is by far the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. It's a beautiful car with a real solid feel. Mine's a 5 speed and in over 10 years, and with nearly 110,000 miles it has never given me any...

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Reliable, Great Handling, Large trunk space
Cons: Small back seat, AC
The Bottom Line: BUY IT! BUY IT! BUY IT! It is a great value, incredibly reliable, fun to drive, and looks great!

I drive the 2.2L 5-Speed GT Liftback model. When purchasing this vehicle I first looked at a Mitsubishi Eclipse and an Eagle Talon of the same price range. Both cars were very nice, but when I saw (and drove) the Celica I didn't need to give it...

Pros: Sporty, reliable, fun
Cons: very snug seating
The Bottom Line: I definitly recomend this car. It has a lot of great qualities

My parents always told me that when I turned 16 if I wanted a car I had to get a job and pay for it myself, so I did just that. I got an after school job at a local grocery store to save up money for the shiny red Toyota Celica GT with my name all over...

Hey, my name is tom and i used to own a 1990 toyota celica until i traded it in for a truck just a couple years back. I loved my celica, it was so reliable and tough. i am the kind of guy who will treat his car like a truck and put it though all the...

Pros: Sporty, smooth ride, sleek, reliable
Cons: A/C compressor has been known to cause grief

I purchased this car (a 1990 Celica GT Coupe) after getting rid of an Accord that made my life miserable. I expected to have similar problems with this car, considering I have been known to drive my cars VERY hard. Heck, I blew the transmission on the...

Pros: Superb handling and accerleration
Cons: no leg room in back

When I was shopping for a used car a year ago (1999) I came across my '90 Celica on-line. My boyfriend said he used to own the same car about 2 years ago. He would still own it if someone didn't slam into it. He told me he loved his car. So I bought...

Wow. Never have I encountered a car that is made with such quality.

Pros: Still going!
Cons: nope

So my dad bought a Toyota Celica in 1990. Thought it was a spiffy car -- red, sporty with a spoiler, turned on a dime and tore round corners like the dickens. Even the AC and stereo impressed me. So what does this have to do with now?

Well,...

Pros: Reliable, modern style.
Cons: -

I can't say enough about how much I love my little white Celica. It's the oldest care we have and it can run circles around our 96 Dodge Intrepid and keep pace with our 98 Nissan Altima (also a good car). But in the snow I'll take the Celica any...

What did they make cars out of in Japan in 1990??

by srjxufan41

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Almost everything!
Cons: It's sort of hard to get parts.

We got this car used in 1993. Wouldn't you know it, the car has over 120,000 miles on it and still runs great! There are more trips to the shop now than when we first bought it, but for its age and miles it's doing great. All Toyotas I've experienced are...
