Pros: Power, sounds, Delta Integrale motor, grip, comfort, exclusivity when new, sleeper value when old.
Cons: Torque steer, unreliable, transmission, fit and finish, noisy.
The Bottom Line: A living, prancing, fire breathing red blooded Italian stallion with personality and quirks to spare. Shoddy quality, but they don't make 'em like they used to!

Pros: Awesome value for its' money.
Fantastic ride / handling.
Cons: Dealer's have left North America(to return 2006?)
Parts need to be ordered/purchased from the internet.
The Bottom Line: Because of the quality and because the prices have dropped so much you really can't go wrong. Italian sound & performance for low a investment.
My 164 has 160,000 on it now & ..... I have spent only regular maintenance money on this car. Things I expect every car would require; I was under the impression that they were a bit "needy" but mine has not proved to be that way. I was fortunate ...

Pros: Beautiful Italian styling. Powerful and smooth ride. More leather than a cow.
Cons: Needs to spoken nicely to and stroked once in a while.. (just like my wife)
The Bottom Line: Must be willing to take care of her. If you do, she will reward you. Find a good, Italian, Alfa certified mechanic and strike up a friendship... Quickly.
Quite simply a great looking Italian car. I've owned it since July of 2001 and I still stare at her for a minute or so after I park it. There is just no other car on the road that looks or drives like the 164.

Pros: Great Styling, Luxury car with all the amenities of a Rolls Royce!
Cons: Alfa's don't hold their value due to an unfounded bad reputation
The Bottom Line: Comparable to my father's $10,000 1993 Saab 9000 CSE Turbo. More luxury features than anyone needs.

Pros: Great style, good power, very reliable, and drives like a dream.
Cons: Expensive when you actually need to take it for servicing, few rattles here and there.
This Italian beauty has been great to me. It is a very classy car with all the options you could ask for. The interior leather seats are unbelievably comfortable...its like I'm sitting on my couch at home. The torque in this car is quite amazing. I have no problems when I have to pass a car. it does it without any effort. I'm proud to own this car not just because Im Italian but because it rides llike a dream.
