Pros: Rugged, fun, easy to work on drop-top, nice size, comfortable, good on gas. Cons: Getting harder to find parts, top is heavy and glass window would be nice. The Bottom Line: For a twenty year old car, it is doing great! Still fun and sharp looking after all these years.
Bought this prime example of American built durable quality that still looks sharp and turns heads! She is white with nice paint (original); no defects here. Driver's door does creak a bit as it was "gently hit" while belonging to previous ... read more

Pros: Good gas mileage. Comfortable. Drives great. RELIABLE, RELIABLE, RELIABLE, RELIABLE, RELIABLE... Cons: rust in the back end. Poor headlights The Bottom Line: Just change the oil and put gas in it.
EXCELLENT I bought this car used in '94 with 113,000km on it. It had been beat on a bit, but I was determined to give it more. My previous car had a 440 big block, so the 2.5 and 5-speed were in for some exercise. I was a young hot rodder and could make ... read more

Pros: still kickin' at 171000 miles Cons: there's not much left I haven't replaced, and the paint looks HORRIBLE The Bottom Line: I would not recommend this car unless you are handy with cars, though I am pleased with its longevity.
As I prepare to buy a new car, I look back on my years with the shadow. I don't know if I love or hate this car. I bought it in high school, hoping it would last me through college. Now it's been over 7 years and approaching 171000 miles. This car has ... read more

Pros: Perfect 1st Car, Easy to Maintain, Decent Gas Milage. Cons: Chipping Paint, Some small interior items don't hold up too well. The Bottom Line: I recommend this car as a teenager's first car or for anyone just looking for a small, easy to maintain vehicle.
My father bought me my Shadow almost 5 months after my 16th birthday on March 5, 2000 for $1,200. It had approx. 135,000 miles and the paint was chipping very badly. The day we bought the car, we also had to buy a brand new battery for it. Then in ... read more

Pros: Affordable, long-lasting Cons: Prone to cosmetic problems The Bottom Line: Looking for an inexpensive, average, reliable car? buy a dodge shadow.
I got my 1991 Dodge Shadow in February of 2001 and it is my first car. And now, 5 months later, I have come to love it already. I bought the "America" model which is the, I guess you could say, economic model. All in all it has an airbag but no AC. I ... read more

Pros: Great Mileage, cheap Cons: Old
I love my Dodge Shadow. I will drive it until it is so rusted out that parts fall off onto the road. Mine has a manual transmission, and about 130,000 miles on it. It still runs great in my opinion. I took it to the shop a couple of times last year, ... read more

Pros: It had great service for a time Cons: Unreliable in the end
This just happened to be my first car. It was a tale of love and hate. The entire line of '91 Shadows must not be held accountable for my elements of woe because mine was purchased from an auto auction (for the bargain price of $800) rather than an ... read more

I bought this vehicle for the cost initially, but have been impressed with its performance over the past couple years. Besides some general maintenance I have never had a problem with this car.

Pros: Engine is reliable Cons: Peeling paint; bowed metal skeleton
I bought a Dodge (Shadow) vehicle because I had heard good things about it in terms of its mechanical reliability. Little did I know that I, as well as every other buyer of the 1991 white Dodge Shadow, would be rewarded with a totally defective paint ... read more

Pros: More reliable than most vehicles I've owned. Cons: ABSOLUTE WORST PAINT JOB EVER!!!!!
Car was purchased used (I'm 2nd owner) at 75,000 miles. The interior is in fair shape considering the year and the engine and transmission are going strong still. The engine is responsive and no slippage at all in the transmission (auto). Gas mileage is
