Pros: I think I summed it up.
Cons: Not so much.
The Bottom Line: This car is a good choice for any driver, though teenagers with a heavy right foot can get into trouble.

I have loved the Prelude since it's inception into the automotive world. There have been many times that the opportunity to purchase one in immaculate condition has eluded me, until July of 2004. The first model I owned was a 92 S model (weak!)which ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Reliable, good gas mileage, looks great.
Cons: Some can have minor engine annoyances, small backseat.
The Bottom Line: Overall, this car is fantastic for a daily driver, a first car, a mid-life crisis car, or a modified race car. It is good looking and affordable.

I owned a 1991 SR (Canadian) for 4 years and just recently sold it because it didn't fit my lifestyle anymore. However, if the opportunity arose, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy this car again. The 1991 Prelude is very reliable ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 20 Recommended: No

Pros: Powerful 4-cyl, Sporty look, attention getter
Cons: limited room, noticable aging, poor gas mileage
The Bottom Line: IF you are looking for a cheap reliable Honda, a Prelude will not be your best choice.

Now I bought a HOnda Prelude from a dealership about 6 Months a go. I got rid of it 2 months later. When i first test drove this honda, I wasn't impressed with the interior. YOu oculd definitely see the age in the interior, as well as on the outside, ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 20 Recommended: No

Pros: Handling, reliability, fuel economy
Cons: Power, room, some intermittant problems
The Bottom Line: Don't waste your money on underpowered car that's surrounded by myth of reliability. Buy European.

I have driven this 91 Prelude SI ALB for some time now, and although I personally don't own it, I believe I qualify to be a well informed reviewer. My dad bought it quite a few years back, when he needed a reliable transportation, that would be easy ... read more

Pros: Excellent handling, reliability, seats, and interior design. Practical for a sport coupe.
Cons: Quick, but could use more power given it's sporty nature; awful, heavy doors.

In the summer of 1998, it was decided that my mother's 1986 Accord would go to my sister, and since I was to inherit my mother's next car after two years, she decided to get a used car. While on her work break one day, she was strolling through the she ... read more

Pros: Great sports car, "life-in-the-fast-lane" driving.
Cons: MY KINGDOM FOR MORE POWER.

I got my 1991 Prelude in 1995 used. It had just a hair over 20K miles on it. I have since put almost 50,000 miles on it in the past 5 years. I'm into performance, so I have modified the car with a myriad of after-market performance parts. It has ... read more

I had gotten the 1991 Prelude Si as my first car, when I was 17 years old, and passed my road test. 4 and 1/2 years, and 70k miles later, the car is still running decently well, with no mechanical problems whatsoever. When I first got the car, I ... read more

Pros: Lots of get up and go power.
Cons: Not enough leg room.
I lucked out when I bought the Prelude, as my first used car. It had no paint rust, minor scratches, and 70,000 miles on it. It had one problem. On the gage's display, one of the S gears would blink endlessly when the car was warmed up. The ... read more
