Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Handling, comfort, 4x4, power, fuel economy and seating
Cons: The window weather stripping, the "auto"-leveling system, non-sliding rear door.
The Bottom Line: This van rules. It has power, fuel economy, 4WD and room for all my friends. Not bad for $700 and some labor.

If you want a cheap used Japanese minivan, you have very few options. For this early era, you were limited to the Toyota Previa, a tiny Honda Oddysey, and this Mazda MPV. This review is of a 91 MPV which was given to us by my in-laws (God bless them). ... read more

Pros: seats seven, dual air, tows well

We bought a 1991 MPV van with high mileage (147,000)in 5/2000 in hopes of getting an inexpensive option for hauling up to seven people with the ability to tow. We love how the van handles, plenty of power with the v6, and a few nice features like the ... read more

We purchased a 1991 MPV after our twins came home and we knew our little car was way to small for a family of 5. Ours has leather interior, deluxe speakers, cd player and tape deck, rear A/C, its basically a princess mobile! As primary driver of the MPV ... read more
