Pros: Reliable, relatively fast and cheap to own. Cons: Rough and noisy engine, fragile seats, some dash controls are confusing. The Bottom Line: Best in its class and a lot of bang for the buck.
The 240sx sets out to do something and does it well. It set out to be an excellent handling light 4 cylinder sports car, and more or less pulls it off.
The 1991 model year came with a 155 hp DOHC 2.4l engine in either coupe or fastback form....

Pros: light and torquey Cons: gasping for breath at speed, tiny trunk
I bought this car new in 1991. The car was the best in its class at the time, more powerful and better looking than the Celica and Eclipse of those years. I went for this car because it had rear wheel drive, and we wound up with the coupe because it...

Pros: Quick, tight handling, sleek/impressive appearance, reasonable interior arrangement, great gas mileage, reliable Cons: Light in the tail-end, ding-prone, little backseat room, expensive repairs The Bottom Line: This is a great car to buy cheap and keep for a few years. If properly taken care of, it will give you more than your money's worth!
When I graduated high school, so did my car and I upgraded to this great little Nissan. I fell in love with it on sight and haven't stopped since.

Pros: affordable, RWD sports car, fastest 240sx. Cons: lacks power, backseats. The Bottom Line: Its affordable and is very fun to drive given some modifications.
I've owned several 240sx's and the S13 coupe is my favorite. Its the lightest and fastest 240sx. Compared to other cars in it class its not as fast. Compared to its rival the Honda Prelude, the car lacks power. Engine: The engine is a 2.4L ...

Pros: Handling, Fuel Economy, Reliability, Flexibility, Fun to drive! Cons: Looks faster than it is, small backseat, road noise. The Bottom Line: This is a great-handling RWD sports car, worth much more than you probably will pay for it.
My title says it all: this car really is the best RWD car for the money you'd spend on it! Let me tell you a little about my experiences with mine... I bought my 91 240sx Fastback for $2200 after my Nissan Pickup detonated a cylinder. Tragic, I ...

Pros: fast, mileage, blast to drive Cons: loud(I prefer my cars to be silent for stealth purposes)
A friend of mine recently got one of these for his 18th birthday and he constantly told me how much fun it was to drive. Not satisfied by hearing about it, and armed with the knowledge that most Nissans are nothing worth writing home about, i talked him...

I used to own a 1986 300zx turbo- t-tops, 5 speed manual, every option available. I had it a little over 2 years until I lost it to a tree. My father got my 240sx for me as a gift and at first, it did not equal my z. Well, not for the first year at...

Pros: Fast, affordable, reliable. Cons: Unreliable electrical system.
In January of 2000 I bought a used '91 240SX for $3500. It's one of the best cars I've ever owned--excellent gas milage, but enough power to scorch any Civic that revs his wimpy engine at me at a stop light. It's light and quick with a very respectable...

This is one fine car! It handles well both on the curves and back roads and the highway. The pick up is super, especially in second and third gear. Fifth gear can be a bit of a granny.
I bought this car for fun. I have always had...

Pros: Dependability Cons: Tight rear seats
I bought a 1991 240-SX with about 35,000 miles on it. The car just went over 200,000 miles yesterday. It has been a real joy to drive and is still very tight. In the 170,000 or miles I have put on the car I have had to only replace the brake pads,...

Pros: Reliability, maintenance costs, appearance(coupe), front-seat leg room, dry-road handling, RWD Cons: Single wheel drive, stock audio system, rear seating, rubber spoiler(hatchback)
Great car, requires little maintenance, and very reliable. Has just enough power to get you in trouble especially during inclement weather. Although this car has a terrible rap for off weather performance, I find that to be a fun "feature". For those with safety in mind, good tires help with the traction issue, and the car is made out of metal and can take a decent beating (it is ding prone however). For the price this car is currently selling it it's one of the best deals out there for used cars. Rear seats are small, but I have fit 7 people in the car at once before (which is a record for this car as far as I can tell). If you take decent care of this car it will take care of you.
