Pros: 4x4 with hi/low transfer, high torque V6, Nissan quality, fun factor Cons: manual trans takes a little getting used to, weight The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a truck or an SUV built like one, this is it! Look no further at anything else in the early 90s.
I've been a Nissan fan ever since I bought my first Nissan in 1996. It was an '84 300ZX Turbo. Nissan has been consistently building vehicles with a little more power and a little more excitement than its competitors. I purchased my Pathfinder ...

Pros: Super reliable, versatile, & great styling Cons: Underpowered, numb steering, poor mileage, no airbags, uncomfortable back seats
I bought my '91 Pathfinder (with 105K miles) about 2 years ago to support my growing snowboarding addiction as well as give myself extra versatility and space for camping/biking and generic road trips. Primary factors on choosing the car were...

Pros: Nice looking. Strong engine. Durable. Dependable. Spacious. Maneuverability. Sport transmission. ABS Cons: Gas mileage stinks (15-17mpg). Very noisy. Stereo isn't the greatest. Uncomfortable seats. The Bottom Line: Haven't found a car, truck, or suv yet that can compare to this vehicle. I will keep her until she quits, buy a new engine and do it again.
I bought my 91 Pathfinder 4 years ago when it only had 127,000 miles on it not knowing how well known it was for dependability. From the beginning it was the perfect vehicle. The passenger space is awesome. I found the center seat belt to be a great ...
