Pros: Easy to drive (even in LA); hauls big loads and looks good doing it. Cons: Maintenance costs are high; CA smog laws may put it off the road soon. The Bottom Line: Despite the high maintenance costs, I really love this truck! It is a pleasure to drive, and hauls big loads. I hope Governor Gray Davis lets me keep driving it!
I bought my red '92 Suburban 1500 in September 1997, with 107,000 miles on the odometer for $12,000. I was managing a sports car racing team, and needed a better tow vehicle. It has proved to be both stable and easy to drive on extensive trips.

Pros: Size, Dependability, Crashworthiness Cons: Gas Mileage
After we witnessed a fatal automobile accident in which a small car was hit by a full-size pickup, we decided to purchase a Suburban. Many of our friends already owned Suburbans, and we were impressed by their roominess and large size for protection if...

Pros: Lots of Room Cons: Overheating Problem
When we passed the possibilities of fitting 6 people into a 5 person vehicle, we were forced to make a choice in purchasing a larger vehicle.
We have been through a few too. We tried troopers, extended cab trucks then even a van. Yikes!...

Pros: Roomy, powerful, dependable, versatile, comfortable, smooth. Cons: Not suitable for urban lifestyle. Oh yeah, the brakes. The Bottom Line: I've put over 353,000 miles on my Suburban and it is still not ready to retire!
I bought this Suburban in June of 1992. If there is any car I wish could last forever and ever, it would be this one. I've already put over 282,000 miles on it and it still runs just as smoothly as it did the day I bought it. Let me start out by ...

Pros: The space in this suv is wonderful. Very comfortable. Cons: The gas and parking
Man I just recently purchased my white 1992 GMC suburban. I love it. It has so much room and for it to be so big it handles really well. I drive a 20 miles one way to work and about another 20 home so I average about 40 miles on the days I go to work. But i love this truck thus far. I drove from a Augusta Ga, to Richmond VA. before i had to stop and get gas in Richmond. When i pulled over it wasn't even on Empty yet(how cool is that) After I filled up in Richmond VA. I didn't have to fill up again, until I was getting read for work a few days later and after running a few errands around town. The gas that I put in the truck in Richmond VA. lasted all the way to Laurel MD. That is about a 2 1/2 hour ride. Now the around town mileage i could do without.I'll keep you guys posted on the things with my baby.
