Pros: Excellent cheap reliable car, fun to drive, good for the family. Looks Good too. Cons: Auto transmission, VG engine good, VE better but has problems. Window regulators brake easily The Bottom Line: Buy this car, or a newer Maxima if oyu can afford it, I definetly recommend Nissan.
A four door sedan for under $3000. I needed a car since the tranny on my truck had eventually died. I looked around endlessly for a week. As I drove home I remembered about a small used car dealership, pretty much high mileage/low cost. As I passed the ...

Pros: SE; Stable, decent power, lots of trick extra engineering. Cons: It's front wheel drive.. The Bottom Line: Excellent value, in a class above Camry V6 and Accord in 1992. Many trick extras, and phenominal performance.
I had an oppurtunity to buy a 1992 Maxima SE from it's original owner two years ago. It was a black on black leather, 5-Speed, sunroof, air, etc..
The reason why I bought it was because it had a problem with the VTC (Variable Timing Control)....

Pros: Power to Spare, Luxuries Galore, Very Reliable Cons: Reduced Size Since 95
We purchased a brand-new, fresh off the truck Nissan Maxima in 1992. We had been looking for a Pathfinder, but that year saw mountains of snow, and there were no such animals in stock. The dealer steered us to the Maximas, instead.
I was...

Back in the year 1992, my mom and dad thought that it was about time to get a new car to replace our 1988 Pontiac 6000LE (which, by the way - ate 3 - that's right THREE transmissions), and alas one morning they came home with the 92' Nissan Maxima, much...

Pros: Sporty, fun, roomy Cons: VTCs rattling, auto seat belts The Bottom Line: I have owned about a dozen cars and this model is probably my favorite.
I recently bought from my brother the second 1992 Maxima SE I have owned. The two are nearly identical, except for color. Both are SE 5-speed models with black leather interior. The first one I bought used and drove it from 60,000 miles to ...

Anyways, my dad had a 92 Maxima. He was continually trying to tell me to watch my speed, because I would...

In getting my first car..I can proudly say I made a good decision. I have a 1992 Nissan Maxima with about 110,000 miles on it. They aren't highway miles, but then again, they really aren't city miles either. This car has been a pleasure to drive, own,...

I purchased a Maxima when I started having problems with an American made car that I owned at the time. I found this car on the lot as a program car. I loved the fact that it has a lot of room, in both the front and the back. It also offered a large...

Pros: Pretty much everything, handling, looks, power, comfort. Its all here. Cons: One of the cup holders is to small. Seriously that's all I can think of. The Bottom Line: I whole heartily recommend this car to anyone. Although I've only driven about 8 different cars, this one has provided the smoothest and most enjoyable ride.
Let¡¯s go back to about a year ago. I had just received my drivers permit and was excited to start driving. My dad let me choose what car I wanted to learn to drive in. A 1984 Mercedes Benz or a 1992 Nissan Maxima. It didn't take me long to decide but the ...

I've had my SE since 1996, when I found it buried in the back row of the used car lot of a nearby Nissan dealer. It had 21K but it hadn't been cleaned or reconditioned and looked neglected. They'd been steering me toward an SUV but I had a hunch this...
