Pros: Handling, T-Tops, Driver-oriented dashboard Cons: Still looking for one!
It's been two years now that I've owned my 1992 NX-1600. My earlier car was an old 1986 Tercel I had to replace, given its old age. I looked for a good, sporty, quality car for months and did not find what I was looking for. One day, I looked at a...

Pros: Great Car Cons: None
I've owned my NX2000 for eight years now, ever since it had only a few miles on the odometer. Now, at nearly 100K, the NX continues to keep me happy. Sure, there's a few tiny rattles here and there over rough pavement, but nothing so serious it makes...

Pros: A design ahead of its time. Great handling and good mileage. Great engine. Cons: Transmission problems. ECU failure. Rust at pillars.
Expensive parts. Poor Nissan service. The Bottom Line: Only buy this car if the price is right and someone else has paid for the major repairs. Don't bring the car to Nissan. Find parts at wreckers.
I bought my 1992 NX2000 used in 1996 with approximately 128,000 Kms. It does not have T-tops, A/C or ABS. I bought this car because a friend had one and I was amazed by the performance, fuel efficiency and looks of this car. I believe that the ...

Pros: Fun Car!! Reliable, Great for road trips! Cons: None The Bottom Line: Great little sports car, carries stuff, has strong gas mileage and runs well past 100,00 miles. Love it's pickup, too!
Wow! I bought this car about 9 months ago, and have really only had one problem with it. In the red version, cops pull me over! They seem to want to talk about the car!
It really is great looking and the T-tops are air and water tight and easy to...

Pros: T-Tops, Fun to drive, Great handling, Very Reliable, 300K+ miles and still going Cons: Not a head turner, no back seat, Aftermarket parts are somewhat hard to find The Bottom Line: Fun, Nimble, Reliable Used car.
I am the only owner of my car since I purchased it in May 1992. It currently has 207K miles (as of May 17th, 2001) and I am on the original clutch. UPDATE: Now I am at 304K miles and original clutch as of Nov. 8th, 2004 (although the clutch is ...

Pros: Good mileage, compact, drives smooth Cons: Small inside, small engine.
I bought the 1992 Nissan NX 1600 model for 3000 dollars US, and so far it's been well worth it.
Engine: Only 4 cylinders, so the acceleration isnt exactly the best. However, this enables it to get somewhere around 25-30 miles per gallon, which...

Pros: Handling
Unique look and feel
Reliability Cons: Intial acceleration, uphill acceleration
I've had a Nissan NX 1600 for about 4 years now. I have terrible road luck, and this car has been through a lot of road damages. 1000 miles a day trips, running over of various road debris, hot southern summers, and now cold northern winters. This car is just excellent. It handles unbelievably, and although it doesn't accelerate all that great from 0-20, from 20-80 it is a BEAST. Not to mention a unique exterior, sporty t-tops, and a unique feel to the interior and dash. I am not the type of consumer who believes in sticking to a brand or brand loyalty, but the next time I buy a car, this car has made sure I check out what Nissan has to offer.

Pros: compact; pretty fast and smooth ride after initial acceleration Cons: low to ground, get stuck in snow, no power windows/door locks, air conditioner crapped out
I purchased my NX 1600 used in 1999. I have just recently replaced the fuel pump, ignition wires, cv shafts, radiator hoses, distributor cap and rotor, belts, brake pads and rotors, starter, oxygen sensor and various other minor parts (thank god for friends who can get parts wholesale and then install them). Until those repairs, I have had virtually no issues with my car other than some rust (which was my fault for not taking care of it).
