Pros: Very unique, Strong acceleration, 3.3 liter flat six. Cons: Poor gas mileage, High price, Could have used more power, or lost some weight. The Bottom Line: I recommend this car to anyone from age 15-115 who can afford one, that is,if you can find one for sale!
In the 1980s, Subaru wasn't exactly known for producing sporty cars. So when the 1992 SVX came out I wasn't exactly confident that Subaru was capable of making a competent sports coupe. So, did the 1992 SVX impress? Driving ...

Pros: you must have this car Cons: hard to find expenceve parts
I bought my 92 Subaru SVX a year ago at an auction and have never been disappointed with this beautiful car, except when I needed to get new tires, because the prices for those tires were nearly the price of a new Geo Metro. To be honest – I love...

Pros: It's an exotic car Cons: It's an exotic car... The Bottom Line: This is a fantastic automobile. Treat it well, and it will return your kindness tenfold.
Well, this is the first review I've posted in awhile. I guess I just haven't had time. Lately I've been going to school full time, and working a job every night of the week (including most weekends) which is a 30 minute drive in each direction from...

Pros: Great price bargain if bought well maintained, AWD+230HP+uniqueness Cons: Has weaknesses but they are usually blatantly evident ! The Bottom Line: They are SVX's out there in great shape, being sold for 4K-$6K, a fantastic bargain for this premier GT car.
I have owned my 1992 Subaru SVX LS Touring AWD for 3 years now and its appeal has not dimmed, needing only a sit behind the wheel to remind me why I have no desire to trade her in.
This GT car has styling ala Italiano, the front...

Pros: unbelievable driving experience/Saftey Cons: Expensive parts and hard to find
I bought this car because I didn't see very many of them on the road. I was driving a Honda Accord before my SVX. Everyone would stop me and ask me what my car was. It was beautiful. When I took my test drive it was pouring down rain. I did not slip or...

Pros: comfortable, reliable, stylish, uncommon Cons: cramped back seat, poor gas mileage
I bought my 92 SVX LSi in 1992 and still have it with around 95,000 miles on it. I love this car. It is still going strong and the ride is still very good, quiet and the car has been reliable.
Other than routine maintenance, the car has...

Pros: unique look, power, mpg, AWD, NO blind spots Cons: service repairs + -, Parts, The Bottom Line: it's an all weather, daily driver, blast to drive car! You'll miss it if you sell it!
I LOVED this car. Being a "car freak" as I like to call myself, I've always loved cars, being only 12 years old in 1992 I still had a LOVE for the car, when change had it, I ended up purchasing one in 1998. It by far was the best car around (I thought) ...

Pros: Outstanding performance, looks, build quality, value for money Cons: Cost of parts, fragile transmission, rarity The Bottom Line: For a bargain car, with sheer pose value that continues to look like something out of the future, you cannot go past an SVX!
The title of this review was a result of my brothers reaction when I first brought home my 1992 SVX (charcoal grey) that I purchased in August 2002 with 62,000km on the clock.
10 years on, it still looks like a car that has just been released...

Pros: piece of art Cons: few repair stores The Bottom Line: I would recommend it for long trips. windows down and sun roof up, you will enjoy the ride. The special double pane stops irritating breeze from hitting you face.
I discovered this car about 8 months ago on the Internet. Prior to that I had only seen it once in real life and I went hunting for on until I caught up with one on auto-trader.com. I had also read about here on epinions. Well the SVX is better equipped...

Pros: SOLID MACHINE Cons: Price on parts-if needed.- not enough aftermarket
I realize that many people don't like the look of this car. But the first time I saw one I loved it. I get tons of compliments and looks from other drivers and people in general. I don't think a lot of people know or should say knew about the SVX....

ONE ISN'T ENOUGH

Pros: GREAT HANDLING, WELL MANUFACTURED, TURNS HEADS Cons: EXPENSIVE/HARD TO GET PARTS, GOES THROUGH TIRES LIKE NOTHING
One wasn't enough for my family. My first SVX, I put 225,000 miles on it before I started having repeated repairs. After dropping around $5000 in labor and parts, I put it in the garage and bought another one as soon as it hit the papers; a 1992 with 65,000 miles on it; what a steal!!! and running strong. It is such a great car, my dad saw one in Colorado for sale and had it shipped to his home state; a 1996 with all the goodies. His baby, I don't even get to drive it. The safety I feel when I am in my SVX surpasses anything else I have been in or have driven. With my first SVX, I hit a deer head on at 70 mph, slid sideways on ice into the back of a pickup, was rear ended and had tree limbs fall in a storm (all within different years) and I always walked away without a scratch. I could go on and on, but the one thing unique to this car is "Does the window roll down?" ha ha
