Pros: Reliability, durability, decent amount of space for people and gear, looks good, treatment by dealership service department always great; tailgate is great to have. Cons: low gas milage; back seats don't have much foot room (but I don't sit there!); factory CD player conked out; if you plan on putting bike racks on top, pass on the moon roof...too loud when open (go with the hitch rack).
I own a 1992 4Runner with just over 120,000 miles. These aren't all city miles. Most of them come from adventures all over Northern California, and I'm usually hauling a friend or three and carrying multiple mountain bikes, skis & snowboards or...

Pros: high clearance, good 4x4, good looks Cons: weak audio system, rear seats don't fold down flat The Bottom Line: recommend a quality used 4runner

Pros: Outstanding vehicle Cons: $$$$$$$$$$$$$ The price
I think everybody has had a vision of their," dream vehicle " . This at least holds true, for me. I have always wanted a Toyota 4runner. A close friend of mine has one, and it is just the epitome of a good Sports Utility Vehicle. However, said...

Pros: Style,Reliability,Quality, finishes the job and wags it's tail for more. Cons: The gas attendants within a hundred mile radius all know me by name. The Bottom Line: If you can get a reasonable deal on one-buy it. My truck has a little over 200000 km, and feels strong, but have heard of over 400000 easily.
Previous owner of this truck was hard on it. No rust protection measures were undertaken, but still looks sharp.
The rear tailgate is nasty on the inside with rust but the window motor still works. I had it oil sprayed inside the body to help...
