Pros: Dependable, powerful and a comfortable ride. Great family car. Cons: Hard to see out of back window when backing up. The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this car because it's dependable and lasts longer than the average sedan.
We bought our 1992 Toyota Camry V6 in 2002 when a relative recommended buying one. We could not afford a newer one, but were fortunate enough to find this one at a repo lot for $2500. It had just over 100,000 miles on it, but from what we've heard ...

Pros: luxurious. Spacious. long front. Cons: um, the airbags didn't deploy. the tires popped.
This was a great car, til I totaled it.
It has a spacious interior, excellent sound system, automatic transmission, passenger-side airbags, trunk space, and a really nice look... it says "I'm successful..." but doesn't have the...

Pros: Powerful engine, very reliable, smooth ride, seats 4 comfortably Cons: Nobody wants to sell theirs so used prices are high, seats awkward (for me) The Bottom Line: A good used Camry is worth paying the extra buck for.
If you see a used Camry V6 for sale and like the way it drives, then buy it. Get the car checked, as you always should, and if you find that there is little cosmetic damage, then you can buy the car and not worry about regretting the decision. We bought ...

Pros: quality, reliability, comfort, engineering Cons: A/C is not as good as the rest of the car, fairly anonymous
My family has had many cars over the years. Out of all of them, its the Camry that stands out as one of the best. Its not the most exciting car out there, but its an honest care that does its intended job quite well.
Engine/transmission:...

Pros: Price, good overall buy Cons: Brakes get worn quickly
This is the 4th car in my family, and it runs like a dream. We bought it used back in 95' when it was 3 years old. It has been to the repair shop several times for brakes and various small things, but other than that it has been very reliable. The front...

Pros: Still Cranking After All These Years Cons: Waterpump seal
Forgive me father, for I have sinned. I'm a HORRIBLE car owner. I drive abusively, I hardly ever change the oil, I let things go too long, and I hardly ever wash it.
This is quite a testament to the 1992 Camry.
I bought mine in...

Pros: Great Gas Mileage, Supposedly Long Lasting and Reliable Cons: Except for sipping gas, expensive to own for a mid-size family car. The Bottom Line: You pay more and get less. Don't pay for the name.
In 2000-2001, I owned a 1988 Toyota Camry. I purchased it with 118,000 miles. By the time I sold it, it had 138,000 miles. I wasn't too impressed with it like I thought I would be. Reliability was terribly dissapointing. It had some mechanical flaws ...

Pros: great styling, best mechanical system in the business Cons: brakes are notorious for squealing
In 1993, as our family was leaving for Europe, we had to make a quick decision on new transportation. After talking to several people that were living in our area, Toyota became the name we needed to go with, because of the availability of servicing....

Pros: Easy to handle, does very well mileage to the gas Cons: it is a car...it will not last forever...even though I want it to!!
I bought my '92 Camry during my senior year of high school. I knew that I wanted a used car because that was all I could afford. I loved the look of the camry which was the new version, very rounded, no more boxed look. I had also heard that camrys...

Pros: gas mileage, reliability Cons: grinding breaks
This is a great family car. I bought a used '92 Camry LE about four years ago and absolutely love it. It handles well and has a powerful engine for a four cylinder. I average 24 miles per gallon. Not bad for an 8 year old car! The only drawback for...

Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing
My Sweet 16 Car. Ah, the memories. Being a new driver, I wasn't exactly gentle with it. I floored the thing more often than not. Ran into a couple cement poles. Let the garage close on it. Ran into some cabinets. Backed into a few cars. Wore the...

I agree with all the opinions about the Toyota Camry LE. I purchased a 1992 Camry LE a few years ago and have been nothing but happy with it. I was leary at first to purchase a foreign car, but after LOTS of research on car performance, reliability,...

Pros: Solid construction. Can take heavy abuse. Cons: Everybody has one. No sense of individuality.
I'm a person who strictly buys American cars, but I must admit I'm pretty impressed with the quality of the Toyota Camry.
A co-worker of mine has a 1992 Toyota Camry LE sedan that he uses regularly since his heavily used 1983 Chevrolet...

Pros: Reliability, Camry name Cons: None
I will pay off my Toyota Camry in February 2001 and it has been worth every penny. This car is one of the most reliable cars on the road and is always a best buy in Consumer Reports. I bought this car in 1996 when it was 4 years old (1992) and since...
