Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Acceleration, cornering, interior.
Cons: Bumpers get beat up very quickly.
The Bottom Line: If you get this car with the stick - you'll have tons of fun driving it.

I bought my car with 80,000 miles on it, had it for almost 2 years, and sold it with 113,000 miles on it.

I was the third owner, and although I don't know how the car was taken care of first 50,000 miles, second owner drove it pretty...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: roomy, quick and powerful
Cons: none

When my boyfriend-at-the-time suggested I look at the Altima, my reaction was not very favorable. I thought the car was "ugly". He said I should at least test drive it because he had heard some great things about it. I had looked at and...

This car, has been a financial nightmare. My parents bought a 1993 Nissan Altima SE (Sports edition), brand new. This car was the answer to all of our prayers,...at first. With three growing kids, and a lot of soccer games, and tennis matches to attend,...

Feb 26 '00

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Strong engine, very comfortable ride, lots of perks
Cons: Needs a little tighter handling around turns at fast speeds

The new Altima seems to be getting quite the
hype --- as it should! However, for those
of you who can't afford $14,000 to $16,000,
going "used" might be your best bet!

The 1993 to 1995 Altimas are great...

Great car for the price

Dec 20 '00 - Updated Dec 22 '00

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Great price, great look, space, and no major problems.
Cons: Constantly changing break pads, and the driver's seat could be made to slide a little more further to the back. Would be uncomfortable for a tall driver.

I bought my 1993 Nissan Altima GXE (used), with 57,000 miles on it. I too wasn't too sure about getting an Altima. I was on the low end as far as budget goes and couldn't get anything running over the $10k frame. After looking at several other models...

I have driven my 93 Nissan Altima for a little over two years, and it has been the most reliable car for me. I have only had to bring it to the shop once in the span of two years, and that problem was easily fixed.
I recommend this car for any...

Pros: Reliable. Comfortable
Cons: Looks

I bought my '93 Nissan Altima as a dealer demo with a couple thousand miles on it. I have put over 100K miles on it with very few problems. I can safely say that this is the most reliable vehicle I have ever had. I would recommend this car for people...

Pros: nice design, good power, great handling
Cons: if you're over 6' and live in the land of the giants it's all over

1993 Nissan Altima GXE. At the time of its arrival it signaled a change for Nissan’s passenger cars and one can see why when they drive one of their Altimas.

The 1993 Nissan Altima GXE (automatic) though not their high-end luxury model, the...

The Bottom Line: Offers everything that most drivers are looking for at a affordable price.

Nissan has been applauded for their well enginered cars that outlive many other brands. My 1993 Nissan Altima GXE is a car that I'm proud to have sit in my driveway. Despite a few mechanical issues that it has incured during its 12 year lifespan, it ...

This was not my car. It was my mother in law's. She had a 1993 green Altima GXE with gray plush interior. It had tilt, cruise, automatic, child door locks, automatic windows, mirrors and door locks. She bought it in 1995. It had about 20,000 miles on...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Great acceleration, very reliable
Cons: Has a gas tank the size of a thimble.
The Bottom Line: It's getting to be an older car, but it's still a good one. You won't turn any heads, but you'll have plenty of pep, and okay gas mileage.

After living in Memphis for two months, I found out why it's the second most popular place to lose your car. My little '93 Altima was sacrificed to some thugs who stole it in the middle of the night. After the cops found the car abandoned, I was...

Cons: a bit cramped, cupholders, MPG, cost of parts
The Bottom Line: If you need an inexpensive, reliable, well equipped and fun to drive car, look into an Altima...any year!

I purchased my Altima GXE in Feb. of 2001. I bought it a Ford dealership (Rochester Ford Toyota in Rochester, MN) who has adopted a no haggle price plan. I paid $5200, $3500 for the car and $1700 for an extended warranty. The mileage was 109,XXX ...

Pros: Great gas mileage, value packed extras
Cons: Motorized antenna

When my 86 Integra reached 220,000 miles, I decided to go car shopping for a low mileage used car that I could rely on. Being 18 years old and independent, I did not think that I could find such a great car value. I went to the local Nissan dealership...

Apr 29 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Reliability, handling, cost efficiency.
Cons: Options.
The Bottom Line: If you can find it, it's definitely worth the buy. For its first year, the Altima comes out stronger than most cars do.

My 93 Nissan Altima was the first car I had ever purchased on my own, and it was probably the best decision I ever made. For roughly $19,000 new, with Sport Package, this car has served me well. Not only is it a good daily driver, it's also fun to go all...
