Pros: Low maintenance, so dependable! Carries everything I need to move or take along. Cons: Not very pretty, sometimes slow to accelerate on steep hills. The Bottom Line: If you can find one that has been cared for by its' former owners or a good mechanic, go for it.
I bought my subaru 11/2002 (writing this 2/2006). I paid $1700. The interior still looks new-ish after all this time. We've been rolling for over almost 50,000 miles together since then. That brings the odometer reading up to about 147,000. I think ... read more

Pros: Good gas mileage for an 88, 23 city/ 28 hwy Cons: nothing, and boy am I glad to have it back The Bottom Line: Subarus have always been very innovative as well as well built. Don't be fooled by the pitter patter engine.
