Pros: styling, gas mileage, quick (V-8) Cons: FORD transmissions, brakes The Bottom Line: I reccomend this car to anyone who wants a reliable car that is quick when you need it and has a few dollars for repairs depending on driving habits
History: I bought my 1994 Thunderbird V-8 from a guy who claimed to be the original owner. A carfax report later found that he was not and that my car was a rental car for Hertz in Virginia. That scared me a bit when I first got it because I know what ...

Pros: Cheap compared to a new car, looks nice Cons: BEWARE head gasket problems - Stay away from this car! The Bottom Line: Run, don't walk away from anyone trying to sell this car to you regardless of apparent condition or mileage!
Here's everything I have nice to say about this car:
I purchased my 1994 Thunderbird from a Seattle car dealership 6 months ago. It was in impeccable condition and had 38,000 miles on it. The previous owners were a retired couple who had...

Don't let the title fool you, this is a very good car overall. It does have it's quirks.
I first purchased the '94 Thunderbird back in 1997. I didn't get the V8 model due to overall insurance costs, but I do like the style of this vehicle....

Pros: Powerful, handles well, very nice luxury features. Cons: Torque converter shutter, gas mileage
I'll start this off by saying my previous car was a 1993 Ford Tempo. It had been driven very hard and purchased for $900. As you could imagine, it would be hard for ANY vehicle to compare to that jewel. I found one quite by accident.
The...

Pros: The absolute best ergonomics of any car I have ever driven, Excellent ride quality. Cons: Numerous MAJOR mechanical failures on 3.8L V6 Model: Head Gasket, Transmission, Brakes. The Bottom Line: If you have the 3.8L V6, dump it! If you are considering buying it, DON'T!!
Let me start by saying the first time I laid eyes on this car I fell in love with it. The exterior styling was sharp yet not outlandish. The interior was, in my opinion absolutely perfect. I could not imagine the controls being any easier to reach or more ...

The car: 1994 LX 4.6V8 has 110,000 miles. The car is practically perfect in every way.
V8 powerplant gives this car the verve it needs to move its 3600lb chassis. The car rides wonderfully! Leather seats are luxurious. All controls are right...

Pros: Decent sized, great power with V8, handles well, large trunk Cons: Sucks gas, plastic stuff breaks, transmission typical Ford junk The Bottom Line: Definitely consider it if you want a powerful American car but have the transmission checked out first.
I've owned a '94 Tbird LX with V8 for over five years now. Bought it used with 24,000 miles on it. It now has 125,000 miles. I didn't go out shopping for a Ford but the light metallic green body color, the dark green interior and the sporty looks...

Pros: Great interior, comfort, mileage, very well designed. Cons: Classic Ford "shuddering" transmission, replace brakes like oil changes. The Bottom Line: Best car I have ever owned, at 145,000 miles, except for the chronic shuddering transmission problems and constant replacement of brakes.
I purchased my 1994 Thunderbird LX with 20,000 miles and it was as brand new. Today I am selling the car with 145,000 miles on it. So, you may say I am intimately involved with all aspects of the 1994 Thunderbird. I've spent most of my life working on...
