Pros: Super reliable and fun enough to drive. Inexpensive to buy, inexpensive to own. Cons: No airbags and annoying "mouse" seatbelts, though that's typical for 1994. The Bottom Line: One of the very best economy cars, EVER.
I don't own a Mazda 323, but I used to. Last week I actualy bought this car's grandchild, a 2003 Protege, and while at the dealer I spotted a red 1994 323 hatchback on the used lot that looked almost exactly like the one I used to have. Almost, because ...

Pros: The best first car I could have, and it goes fast. Cons: It is an old car and it won't last for ever and that makes me sad it's like losing your best friend but I hope to pass it along to my brother soon.
First I would like to thank you my reader for taking the time to my opinion. My opinion is about my little car. It is a 1988 Mazda 323 Hatch back 5 speed. All I can say is that I love it. I am 19 and my parents gave me the car when I was 17 because I got...

Pros: Ultra-reliable beater, great on gas Cons: Base model lacked comfort features The Bottom Line: ultra-reliable, great on gas, beater transportation mobile - if that's what you want, go get one.
We purchased our 1994 Mazda 323 at a dealer fleet sale in early 1995 with less than 20,000 km. It was a daily driver until a collision in March 2006 at about 170,000 km. If the accident had not happened, I have little doubt that I would still be driving ...

Pros: great gas mileage, dependable, quick. Not alot of these on the road today. Cons: doors freeze shut when its real cold, that's about it. The Bottom Line: You cant go wrong with this car, it's got a "won't die" engine and it's cheap to maintain and sporty!
I affectionately call my little 323 " the MAZDA_RATI..it's a cool little car and holds one of the most reliable engines ever built. A couple months back I bought this when my girlfriend and I traded in our one car so we could each get a reliable vehicle...

Pros: Swift ride, reliable, cheap on gas, fits in small parking spaces. Cons: Noisy interior, thin paint.
I've had my '94 Mazda 323 for 6 years now. I've had it since college. It hasn't given me any mechanical headaches so far. Acceleration is good for a 4 speed automatic. It drives steadily both on side streets and on the freeway. It has a light body,...

Pros: DEPENDABLE DEPENDABLE DEPENDABLE!!!!!!!! Cons: The fricking automatic shoulder belts--I have been clobbered in the head with them! The Bottom Line: If you find one of these with low mileage and need an economical and dependable car, BUY IT! It will serve you well!
My Mazda has 150,000 miles on it and is definitely looking a bit tired lately but it keeps on running! This is far and away the most dependable car I've ever owned. Its spent so little time in the repair shop that I can tell you exactly what has broken ...
