Pros: Dependable, great gas mileage, yet still flexible enough to carry a few things Cons: Rear seat leg room isn't much, rust around windows, interior noise is sometimes bad The Bottom Line: 290,000 miles here I come!
Here we are about to close out 2004 and I'm writing a review for my car, a 1994 Celica. Granted, this has only been my car for the past three years but prior to that it was my wife's car. Oddly enough, when these were first introduced in 1994, I leased ...

Pros: interior, exterior, performance Cons: power, a/c, and space
Eye catcher and fun to drive. For a lower-priced sports car this auto has a lot to offer. The model I drive is the 5 speed manual base model (not GT).
Pros:
Interior-
The interior is small but well designed. Cockpit...

Pros: quick, comfortable, looks nice, goes well Cons: not as quick as it looks, doesn't handle as well as it should
OK, I know this is an American site, but I found it dead handy when I was out trying to choose a car and you never know, you might find the UK perspective on this car interesting.
So then, why did I buy a Toyota Celica? Well, I had a '91 VW...

Pros: Reliable, sporty, handling Cons: Power, CV Boots needed replacement
I bought my Celica used and it's now 6 years old and one of the most solidly built and reliable cars I've ever owned. I have the 2.2 Litre GT which is a five speed manual. The acceleration on this car is adequate although it doesn't compare with say a...

Pros: Sturdy, Great Gas Mileage, Great Handling Cons: Not very roomy
I bought a 1994 Toyota Celica ST used in 1996 because I had always liked the looks of the car. This was the best car I ever owned. The Celica is the sturdiest and safest car I have owned. I was hit 2 years ago on interstate and my front seat broke...

Pros: Great looks, reliable, fun to drive Cons: A little road noise
Count me in! I agree with the other reviewers about this car. It has great looks, and feels like a sports car without some of the harsh ride or feel. We bought the car used in 1997 from a Toyota dealer lot. My wife wanted a Celica, but I decided to...

Pros: handling, reliable, sporty, gas mileage Cons: power The Bottom Line: I recommend this car to anyone wanting a sporty import. It has great handling, gas-mileage, and looks.
I bought this car in April of 2000 and it already had over 90k miles on it. After seeing the car at the car lot and taking it for a spin, I knew this was the car for me. It's the GT model with the 2.2lt engine and a 5-spd tranny. I had heard good...

Pros: Nice Look, Great Handling, Fun to Drive Cons: Not the best choice for anyone over 6 feet. The Bottom Line: A great choice if you are looking for low maintenance, good mileage, great looks, solid feel, and a fun to drive car.
When it came time for me to find a new vehicle, I was not exactly looking for a Toyota Celica. I had previously owned a small Nissan truck, but totaled it in an accident with a much larger SUV (not my fault). With the insurance money I received I headed ...

Pros: Reliable, focused on the driver, fun to drive, great looking Cons: Underpowered The Bottom Line: One of the most solid cars ever made, it's fun to drive, and it's looks turn heads everywhere you drive.
The Celica: one of Toyota's flagship car models for at least 30 years, and the 1994 model year started the 6th generation of the car, and ran through 1999. When I bought this car, I was looking for a small, sporty car. At the time, speed was not a ...

Great First Car

Pros: Last FOREVER, Sporty Look, Roomy (for a small car) Cons: Not very much power
This was my first car, and a great on at that. This was just a base model ST, not the GT like I wanted. This was great to learn in. Everything is in great arms reach. It didn't have much horsepower at all, 110 hp stock, the GT depending on the year(1994 - 1999) had 130 - 135 hp stock. The governor kicks in at 100MPH, so you don't have to worry about anyone going over 100 in the ST model unless of course you take the gov off.
I sold the car at 200,000 mile and I never had a problem with anything. Never took to the shop except to install new belts.
Had more then enough room for me, I'm 5'5" and 120 lbs. Also had just enough room for my 6'5" 210 lbs boyfriend. He would have to push the set all the way back but he was comfortable.
